May she rest in peace, ripping around on a loud, large bike somewhere.

You're right, she should be talking to the receivers of the organs to get a more positive view point....

It's been confirmed it was the gal I mentioned earlier and now the details of what happened are in.. she struck a center strip on Iron Point and suffered head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash happened while she was heading east on Iron Point near Cavitt Drive and it probably was sunlight glare that caused the crash.
the Folsom PD said she may have hit the median more then once and lost control as a result, they have not determined if speed was a factor.
Her name was Carol Amark, age 49 of El Dorado Hills (this is public information now)

Yes, and I'm sure that she very rarely had to deal with fatalities and injuries from car accidents, because we all know that those never happen.
40,000+ people die in car accidents every year and yet we riders get to keep hearing about everybody's uncle/friend of a friend/brother-in-law's cousin who was killed in a motorcycle wreck.

I'm going to check with a few friends to find out if they knew her or if she was in the Folsom Harley Owners Group
She was a friend of mine. Her name was Carol Amark and was the past director of the Hangtown HOG chapter and was currently a member of the Elk Grove HOG chapter.

Apologizing for being an idiot and almost killing someone, doesn't change the fact that the person is an idiot and almost killed someone. Maybe if you had a near fatal experience from an idiot on a cell phone, you would realize a "my bad" gesture doesn't really cut it. It's like saying, I'm an idiot reckless driver, but I'll continue to drive like an ignoramus cuz all I got to do is give the "my bad" wave and it's OK so I can continue to be an idiot on the roadway.
