After that, its all about misunderstandings, bloviatory orations, ad hominem, and sometimes lunch.

So I hear they're officially open. I always like to give a place until their "grand opening" to get the service right, but.. Let the reviews begin!

The only inspection posted online is still from Grandma's Kitchen on 9/6/07.

The change of ownership is listed, but no inspection report.

It has to be posted at the site. I assume there's a slight lag before they get them online.

Toast?

I had breakfast there this morning. They did a beautiful job inside ($$$) with a fireplace and heavy stone tables and bar top. The food was good, had an omelette which came with potatoes and a bagel. Reasonable portions. I made a small suggestion at the end about the preparation and they were very receptive (all the ingredients of the omelette were at one end). TONS of staff there (I counted 12). All seemed anxious to please. Worth trying. They are going to need to sell a lot of food fast to start recouping their $$$.

My husband and I ate there for lunch today. I agree that the decor is much warmer and sophisticated. Their temporary menu is pretty extensive. Crepes, waffles, sandwiches, salads, various benedicts and lots of sides plus a children's menu. I had the shrimp, crab and salmon salad. Great taste although there were only tiny shavings of salmon.

My husband had the pancakes and thought they were the best he has had in Folsom. The bacon was very good and the breakfast potatoes were pretty good. The coffee is definitely 'diner' coffee with that bitter aftertaste.

The service was excellent as far as refills and checking in with us although it took awhile to get our food. I will chalk that up to this being their 2nd day.

We will definitely try it again.
