What's funny is even most of the positive posts have something bad to say. The food was "ok" or it was way too hot, etc.

Been there three times and liked it just fine.

You complainers might get a clue when people say it is hugely crowded. There's a reason, and it's not because it sux.

Applebies and Chilis are also crowded, but that does not make them superior places to eat.

There are plenty of places to get mediocre food, and bad domestic beer. With such a great location, I think many of us were hoping for something a few notches better than Outback.

Yeah, but people are talking about Sudwerks' eventual demise, while at the same time complaining about how crowded it is. Doesn't compute.

It's crowded because it's the only place with a view in the entire town. Touche had a nice 'garden' view, but until someone starts that idea back up people are stuck with Cliffhouse/Sudwerk.

at the same time it is not just a crowded issue it is a owner/ego problem as I had and have seen in just the few times I have been back to this place since it has re-opened...horrible food, raw under cooked food and unwashed lettuce.Horrible judgement by the owner to yell at anyone he feels like. For example: The DJ, the workers, and customers as resently as this past week...this nut was even ballsy enough to have the customers hear him say that they were NOT important, it was the food that mattered! He was not more than five feet away from our table when he said that..YOU DON'T DO THAT TO ANYONE!...and it isn't just a few people here friend ,it is many...and if you go to other forums that review this joint you will see the same pattern...bottom line this new owner has blown it big time and I have a feeling he is not done yet! I give it 6 months if this guy continues his bad behavior...

Yes, the great location will draw plenty of people. I said I think it will probably not be leaving any time soon.
I am sure they are not 100% bad 100% of the time. Maybe even more than 50% of people do not have a horrific experience.
The posts here show mixed reviews with some people liking it, but the volume of bad experiences reported seem much worse than the average restaurant.

People were excited to see this place come at first. The website looked good and the other location had a good reputation, so it's disappointing the way it turned out in the end.

There is something wrong there unless the people who posted bad experiences are all lying or exaggerating what happened.

It's sad they can't do better than they're doing.

With that said there would have to be many.... I have seen this at night and in the daytime although I no longer go there for lunch after the unwashed lettuce incident, I still go there at night...no A/C working Friday night and people being asked to move their tables at 9:30 what a joke! unsure.gif

Had dinner there tonight with relatives, the food was great, the service was ok, the bill reasonable. No complaints.

It's crowded because it takes so long to get served...sometimes over an hour for a hamburger? Give me a break!

You need a new CPU. The place blows but you'll keep going back for poor service, medicore food, and no a/c I guess because you think it's a cool place to hang out?

I noticed your profile that you are in your 40's too... no spring chicken, and I noticed that you spend a lot of time there as well because you are always harping about it... I happen to enjoy the night life there with my wife and friends...it seems to be the only place for "older people" to hang out in Folsom these days...and play music that we like...it strange that you don't like the music but there is always alot people there every week hot or not...what is your problem? The bartenders are fine and nice to boot. They can't help what they have to work with! They didn't install the taps there you know...
Your complaint seems to be that it is not what you want and that is fine...that is why there are other places for you to go so you can chase the "younger one's".
After reading most of your posts I don't think you like anything period... Have fun!

No Flip flop here pal ...Don't like the food it is gross!....we agree on that...service could be better but I think it is more the owners fault than the workers, being in a hurry to open when he obiviously wasn't ready ...don't really like the Sudwerk beer at all...drink Crown and 7...My friends and I do have a good time for the most part unless it is interupted by the owner making a fool out of himself in front of everyone...starting entertainment at weird times...bothering guest to move tables when they should have been moved well BEFORE the night had started... same number of tables, just in the way... and the A/C not working when it is hot already...a bad time yes for a reason...so where is the flip flop?

I just saw that you didn't like the entertainment, or anything else, and I said that it seemed to me that if the place, with all it's problems, still draws a good crowd of PAYING DRINKING people, on the bar side every Thurs-Saturday... So if everyone was you it would indeed suck and wouldn't last but everyone isn't you and it seems to be working..hummm

You are part of the problem. You provide a laundry list of things wrong with the place but yet you still seem to think it's ok and will return? Mediocrity rules in Folsom!! BTW, the place has been open for weeks with no improvement but enjoy your sub-standard dining experience and the, um, great old folk music.
