The website is pretty busy the last couple days. Is it because of the new toys and new forum version? smile.gif

Every time I tried to change the signature image it gave me this error message:

Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

The error returned was:

You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. A valid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.gif, an invalid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.one.gif

Is there any way that we can use a JPG saved on our computer and not a URL to create a signature. I have looked but dont see this as an option

I get that same error as well whenever I try to post an [IMG] link to an image hosted elsewhere.

Oooo... owww... John. That's very bad Net practice. :-( A lot of us webmasters spend money on bandwidth and when people link to our images directly, it costs us, with nothing in return.

I know, I know, bad netiquette... but people do it to me all the time!
(You should see what I do when I check my logs)

OK I think there's a website called ImageDump.com (I think) where you can upload the image, it will put a little logo on it but that's all.

John, why is that ?
a Signature is more than a URL ( for some of us) and allowing one from our own saved files would allow for home pics to be used as well with are more personal.

Technical limitations of the software don't allow it. Try photodump.com to upload your photo, see if that works.
