Cross out "free" and write in "1 cent!"
Then give them the coupon and a penny.

I might try that! I got it a long time ago, and haven't been back down there in a long time...oh well, snooze I lose I guess.

Murray owns and operates the Powerhouse Pub and Scarlets. He has consistently been the most responsible of the bar owners on the street. He's been running that place for decades and has made it a mainstay of northern California music venues. We're lucky he's there. I'm actually suprised more violations don't occur at places with strict operational regulation. I'm sure he took care of whatever was wrong long ago and will see to it it doesn't happen again. Long live Powerhouse Pub!

Do you think Murray will now have some spare time to clean the place up a bit? It's rather disgusting.

Have you tried Scarlets? The Powerhouse Pub definately has that road house feel, but Scarlets is clean and more upscale. It might be more what you would enjoy.

ABC suspends Folsom bar's alcohol license
Published Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009
One of Folsom's better-known saloons won't be able to sell alcohol for five days after being tagged for multiple violations.
The state Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control has suspended the alcohol service license of Powerhouse Pub on Sutter Street and will post a notice of the action today. The pub also has been fined.
The five-day suspension was ordered because state officials said the bar allowed a minor to be on the premises in 2006. Minors are not allowed in a place of business where only alcohol is served.
"The department had filed two separate accusations on this particular licensed business," said ABC spokesman John Carr. "One was for permitting a minor to enter and remain in the premises, which has led to the five-day suspension. The other accusation that led to a $6,000 fine was for a contaminated bottle and offering a coupon for a free drink."
A bar cannot advertise a free drink in California.
The notice of suspension will be attached to the business at 614 Sutter St. today at 11 a.m. The business can remain open during the suspension, Carr said.

Were you ever there when the place was Sutter St Saloon? Murray has done an outstanding job. You're an idiot.

I couldn't agree more. Murray's been good to this town and draws lots of folks to Sutter. He works hard to help with events, including the music for Folsom Live.
I'm showing houses tomorrow, but I hope to be done early enough to get over there to see Jonny Mojo and the Sac Blues Revue. They're playing 3 to 630p, I believe.
