I know one of the owners of the Nor Cal Franchise. Straight shooter, good guy, really cares about quality. I haven't had a bad meal there (some service has been supbar which I have let him know) but the quality has always been good.
Last couple times I was into Gold River at any time they were above average in terms of crowd, however, Folsom has been dead every time. Another victim of this economy (and for those who had the bad experiences, obviously its also a victim of wavering service).
Maybe we could get a restaurant in there like Sweet Tomatoes?

I contacted Sweet Tomatoes and they have no plans to expand into the Sacramento area at this time. Bummer, looked like a good place.

Wow you guys don't like that place? My wife & I tried it on Sunday night for the first time, place had a 20-30 minute wait, was packed and the food was not bad. I think this restaurant is safe as it's close for the folks who live up in EDH & Cameron Park, and the neighboring Folsom communities. Our waiter kept our drinks topped off the entire time, since my wife had to break to feed our son he offered to re heat her dish and soup kept asking if everything was ok. Even the Manager (I think) the guy at the front desk, bless his heart super nice guy came buy to make sure everything was good and well.

That's good to hear, I never really wanna see any restaurants demise. But I have to say the two times we've been there it was nearly empty inside and still took forever to get service, and the food we had tasted like it had been cooking for days. Maybe those were just bad days, I'll have to go check them out again.
Thanks for the feedback, its always nice to hear about positive experiences at a place.

I've been to Mexquite a couple of times, usually arriving about 5:30 PM Friday nights.
My gripe is parking. The bar is filled with happy hour at that time and so is the parking lot, but seating at the restaurant tables goes quick, food has usually arrived in a reasonable time and has always been tasty, service not bad. It's just when I'm parking next to Sunny Garden and walking all the way down to Mexquite, I feel like I should be dining at Sunny Garden. I could sit at a window and watch my car if I did.

Yes I do, but actually, when I'm out with the family, it's at home in the garage (2 seater doesn't work for 3), my wife and I just have a preference of sitting in restaurants where we can see our car, just a safety precaution, we aren't so paranoid that if we can't see our car we panic, but when possible, it's nice.

Yours must be that bright shiny red one I've see around town, good looking wheels and nice mean but tuned sounding exhaust note. There's only two I've seen around Folsom both red, one is always immaculately detailed and a targa I beilieve? That car is an "all-aluminum" body I get why you got to watch it $$$ to repair aluminum if it gets dented. I'm pretty sure I've paced ya once before "Blue Air-Cooled circa 1980's with a whale tail" It's nice to know another "Car Guy" on here.

Cool, I can honestly say I've never seen a white one in town. NSX's are sweet, timeless design. Car could come out today and still look current, only exotic car you can own with the same reliability as (And I mean no disrespect) a Honda Accord.
Please excuse me for getting off topic, I can talk cars all day long.
