No kidding. Quite a tantrum you're throwing just for having your hand slapped. Can't you just try and tone it down like John has asked?

Once a myfolsom.com, ALWAYS a myfolsom.com addict. I am willing to put $ down that they will be back either as themselves or another screen names. So all this drama and whining is only temoporary facade/soap opera.

No, no no. This is not a tantrum. This is not something that just happened. I am sick of being the one who is always blamed. It's happened a bunch of times and I'm really done with it. I don't need John coming down on me like I'm his child everytime some uptight newb gets mad at me. It's complete bull$hit. Im done with it.

I don't know what's going on with the Pm's, but maybe you could just turn off that feature and keep contributing to the general forum.

So you can say that I have made some changes. Does that mean that I have somehow taken a miraculous pill and changed my political views? No way. does that mean that I am never ever going to have my emotions in check when someone attacks my culture, religion etc? maybe or maybe not.
Thus, the bottom line is that I am doing my best to bring some type of value and I am trying to extract some type of value. Lastly, I am very ashamed that at times, my addiction to the political forums came at the expense of spending time with my kids. What value did I gain???? zero.
I am writing this hoping that my "lessons learned" can be some type of hope for someone else. I am not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I am trying harder to add value.
And I think you're doing a good job at adding value now.

But do what you gotta do. I, too, am tiring of some of the drama on here.

Then take it up with John... he's the one who ultimately has done this. He doesn't want me around, he already made up his mind.

yeah the drama and the need for heavy handed deleting has gotten tiring - I agree. Its too bad the newbies don't bother to read and learn how to behave on the site before spewing forth.

Dude, John is just trying to keep the peace on here. Many folks have gotten similar notes/requests - heck just ask Palango and Darth....
John's not telling you he doesn't want you here, he just asked to try and help keep things a bit mellow and not so heated, you know how things can escalate sometimes.... thats all.

Please consider just taking a break.
I can see that I touched a nerve...my point was to get off the fence. I didn't ask anybody to leave. "delete all my posts" is a pretty clear indication that she wants out.
I can't believe how trivial some of these issues are or how sensitive some folks appear to be. Take a deep breath and toughen up. Its an internet forum.

Chris V,
You know I've disagreed with you at times. But that doesn't mean I think you should leave.
My recommendation when you get threatening cussword PM's is to not stoop to that person's level by replying in kind. Either ignore it, or as John requests, forward it with a note, "John, can you please take care of this, thanks, Chris V".

Just one woman's opinion: Many of these newbies appear to be oldies (or an oldie) with an axe to grind. As many other members have noticed and have pointed out, it's very odd when someone is already bashing certain members on a first or second post.

Yep. Some people just have way too much time on their hands, apparently.
