Do you know if they have anything besides hot dogs? Is there such a thing as a vegie-dog? Do they have turkey or chicken-dogs? My husband loves real hot dogs, but if they don't have anything for me...I guess I'll just have to drink a beer and watch him eat!

They have other sausages and even a burger:

Nhot Dog $2.59
Meatless dog, yellow mustard, grilled onions, or sub on any dog or sausage for no additional charge

you should check out their website. its pretty clever. and it lists all their ingredients.

the place feels clean inside too. i didn't have time to eat there, but poked my head through the door to get a feel for the place. while manderes feels like a pub, this place feels more like a non-chain fast food restaurant, not a beer joint. I liked it! can't wait to try it now.

btw, trader joe's has nitrate-free hot dogs that are pretty darn good!

What brand?
My wife bought some nitrite free turkey dogs that were horrible tasting. We had to throw them away as she wasn't going to eat them and I tried but decided it wasn't worth it, I threw out the meat and ate the bun with just mustard, ketchup, & relish on it.
I would rather be Backpacking

Thank you - I wasn't thinking, I should have checked out their cool website before I asked the question. They have a much bigger menu than I hoped for - I will be trying it soon!

Just ate at Urban Dog for the first time. Awesome place. Two dogs, fries, and two beers was $15. You can not beat that! Will definitely be going back again.

I've had the chicago dog and the one with chili. both were great. bun fell part pretty easily though.

ordered coleslaw twice and potato salad once. coleslaw was overseasoned and too spicy one day and not spicy at all the next time. potato salad was so heavy with horseradishy mustard that I couldn't finish it and I like spicy things. it felt like it would give me heartburn and I don't get heartburn.

but great dogs.

Were you are the counter? Didn't see mylo though, must have just missed you too.

I popped in 11:45 or so with coworkers who tried it for the first time. Their opinion was good to very good though 2 said need either larger portions or order two next time (and they are avg weight).

I was there at that time, sitting at the counter with my dad. Were you in the group of 8 or so?

Back in the day -- okay, WAY back in the day -- when I was working at a Vienna Beef hot dog restaurant, they didn't even serve potato salad or coleslaw; everyone ordered fries.

Just don't order the kids' meal. They use a different dog, disgusting, dry, not good.
Order a regular hot dog for your kids.

Ooh, a good suggestion. Did you mention it to the owners? I chatted briefly with one today and he said they're still working some kinks out. That sounds like a pretty good suggestion that they should be made aware of.
