The Sac Co.\El Dorado Co. line from White Rock to Folsom Lake is bad.. It is almost as if the cell towers can accurately know where the county line is and drop EVERY call when passing through. Happens on every ATT phone from dumb regular phone to PalmOS to WM to iPhone

In building coverage is tough regardless of carrier. Buildings are becoming Faraday cages sad.gif

This happens with tmobile as well....EVERY time climbing the hill from Folsom to EDH. Irritating.

That is because the frequency is owned by another carrier. Some cell carriers cannot hand off calls on the fly between networks such as what needs to happen when going into El Dorado County on 50.

You got it. Should see a major improvement with the 850 in-fill.

Finally! ATT carrier update was pulled down this AM which includes MMS.

Congrats ATT for making a standard feature that should have been included 2 years ago available to the iPhone community.

Just a question on the Iphone as my daughter is getting one next week on my plan.
What would be the need to get a 32gig versus the 16gig ? she is insistent on the 32

cheers

How much more - how much can you pack in 16G vs 32G in real terms -( Duh I know it is twice as much )
why do you need to carry them around ? why not download to the home puter or her net book?

Let me preface this by saying I'm 45 and not a teenager with tons of music. I got to 20GB's pretty fast on my phone. For the most part I download a ton of podcasts, quite a few apps, videos, and so on. Plus the fact that you now can take videos with the phone, it starts adding up pretty fast.

Why not the home computer, well I listen and watch everything while I'm driving and traveling.

another bad driver to avoid on the road.

Thanks at least for being honest and admitting you are careless and reckless with no regard for the lives you might run over someday.

Sorry, let me give you a little more detail. I "listen" to podcasts while driving, I watch podcasts, while I am sitting at airports.

The podcasts are all "talk" and usually very quiet. I can hear a whole lot more of the traffic around me than those people I see rocking out to tunes on their radios while driving.

I always use a bluetooth headset and never use the phone driving unless totally hands free.

So unless you can honestly tell me you don't listen to music in your car, get off your high horse.

Thanks for explaining, it was the "watching while driving" part that had me going.
