Back to topic. I don't think a preventative flu shot is in the same category as inhalers for asthmatics or Epi pens for people with severe allergies. In those cases I'm a fan of medical science, too.

Flu shots are a joke. The chance you get vaccinated for the exact strain that hits you is small. It's all guess work.

However, to not get shots for proven things like Small Pox, tetanus, etc, is, well, just plain dumb. You may live to the ripe old age of 37 if you're lucky!

I'll probably get the shot. But since I'm in the last group to get them, any problems with the vaccine should have shown up by then.
I get a regular flu shot every year and have for the last 12 years. Haven't had the flu in 12 years either.
