Widescreen Yes. In landscape view right?
USB. They already offer a USB camera accessory to unload photos.
Slot Card. For pictures or storage? Pictures they already have an SD Card accessory.
My point... looks like Apple is going to allow alot of accessories to be hooked to that dock connector. Although we might need a back-pack just to carry them all. LOL... actually thats kind of funny. The Tablet replaces children's need for backpacks at school. But then the accessories will have the demand for a backpack. Oh geez!!! A step forward and then a step back.

A) That's more than two things
2) The iPad is unlocked, you can use it with any GSM data provider
III) The iPad does not do voice calling. It is not a phone.
〤) I agree with AT&T monopoly. They're evil.
Also, the iPhone apps run on the iPad, so JLS's point was that "There's already an App for that"

1024x768 != 1080HD
No DVI out, only VGA w/ additional dock
USB w/ additional dock
Slot w/ additional dock
Keyboard w/ additional dock
Sync to PC w/ additional dock
Camera? w/ additional dock
C'mon Apple! I'm a huge junkie, but this feels like they used 10y/o technology to keep the price down.

No SMS app. TBD if texting will work. Didn't seem like it.
Not that online SMS is difficult.

Although the pad is "unlocked" I don't believe it can be used on anything other then ATT in the US. ATT is here to stay unfortunately...
I bet Apple might have been more persuaded to use Verizon until they started playing dirty with the 3G commercials. If Verizon wanted to work with Apple they shouldn't have attacked them via the ATT commercials. Instead Apple helped ATT in commercials against Verizon. I honestly think Verizon had a chance up until that point....

Sync to PC w/ additional dock
As I said... Keyboard does not require an additional dock. It requires an apple bluetooth keyboard.
Sync to PC may be capable via wifi soon. We'll see...

You sure about that? I saw the BT in there, but we've been waiting on BT accessories in iPhone OS for months!
Why Wifi Sync isn't available still shocks me.
C'mon Apple, you've got wireless everywhere else. Why do I still have this stupid white cable?!

Well it states it there on their official site and on other review sites who attended the hands on with the device so I hope so....
Wifi I don't understand either.
Here is the Keynote Stream....

Catch watch the stream again right now, but I heard what's written on Apple.com:
Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR technology
No talk of BT accessories, and since their keyboard is hard-wired to the dock, I'll still believe it when I see it.

2. Smart phones failed then along came iPhone?? Have you heard of a device called a Blackberry?? Blackberry's currently hold the majority of the market share for smartphones/pda's.
When you say this: An app store. Book Store. Music Store. Movie Store. Game Store.
That is where you are hitting the nail on the head and I agree with you. Apple wants to be your media outlet. That is where the money is...content distribution.
This iPad may not succeed (as I believe), but that is not where apple is going. They don't want to sell hardware.
Anyhow, we shall see....you have some good points, I just have a different opinion. If I am wrong it won't be the first time.
Don't want to argue...seriously though, did you watch the eDork video I linked to? Watch it and laugh....let's leave this discussion smiling.
MP3 Players failed. Apple iPod came along to suceed. Why? iTunes. Then iTunes Music Store.
PDA. Failures.
Smart Phones. Failures.
Then Came along the iPhone.
Tablet Touch PC's. Failures. Now comes along Apple with 140,000 applications. An app store. Book Store. Music Store. Movie Store. Game Store. Killer gaming and everything else device. I'm thinking no matter how empty it looks now... we got a winner to succeed where everybody else has failed. AGAIN.
While your probably a great worker and talent... I'm thinking that you might be arguing with Steve too much over the motivations of Apple products...LOL.
Of course I'll buy one. My iPhone has been never ending in its uses... this thing is a step further. I'll buy the 3G and probley 16 GB. So far I've learned that I never seem to use even half my space on these things. As long as it can hold my entire music library then everything else can sync as needed with my computer. If I go on a trip I'll sync 3 movies or something but I don't need ALL of them. Downloading pictures... I don't need more then a GB or two before I re-sync. Get where I'm going? As things get full just transfer to the computer at home.

10 hours? You could watch the pride and prejudice series on the thing...
Yes but you are talking about a number of devices verses 1. Multiple carriers vs 1. Heck, the iphone actually had people switching carriers just to have the phone. No other phone in history has done that from my knowledge. The iphone took smartphones mainstream into the family users and now corporate. Blackberry was mostly corporate and now some of them are transitioning. Plus, the iPhone has the only successful app marketplace as far as the world is concerned. So yes... I believe iPhone prevailed personally.
That is where you are hitting the nail on the head and I agree with you. Apple wants to be your media outlet. That is where the money is...content distribution.
While its true about money its also important to the functionality. Apple holds the guidelines to the device all the way around so they can keep good software that is quality to their product while also removing bad devs and malicious software.
Um... Apple is famous for wanting to sell hardware. They are purchasing more and more companies to keep their hardware built inhouse. Heck, they build their own aluminum casings now for their laptops. Apple is very much a hardware/software company. Its the whole point of Apple.
Agreed. I've swallowed my entire shoe many of times...LOL.
