Went back in Saturday around 1 ish and it appears they either hadn't anticipated how much business they were going to have or had some issues because service was slow! I didn't care, I was there to have a beer and watch golf, but I could tell some people were antsy. I had the club sandwich and it was tasty, especially the side of sauce that came with it!
They soon corrected the situation though as they called in reinforcements. The lady that cleared our table said she was the bar manager and had come in to help...
Prices seem fair as long as service is good and tv's are tuned to the various sports. With that many TV's they may need a full time person just to manage them....

If it's gonna be a kids place, then you can count me out. I don't want my beers and sports among a bunch of children. Forget that!!

What a difference from the last two places... looks like a real sports bar... and it was packed... we had to muscle up to the bar... didn't eat anything there...
But it looks like it's going to give some competition to the one over off Iron Point or any other bar that has a couple of tvs... They had em everywhere there...
and I could walk there and back I live that close...

I went by there last Thursday, it's nicer then I was expecting, should be fun. I look forward to going back.

I agree.
I think folks generally eat more at sports bars because they may stay there longer watching a game. I could see having something at the start of the game and again in the second half. Sometimes, guys might keep the apps coming.
It could get expensive.
Folsom Lake Bowl may not be as modern, but they've got a bunch of TV's, great sound, cheap/reasonably priced grub.
Mario (the owner) is a friend of a friend and has been supportive of the community over the years. He was one of the founders of Q'bole, Mexquite, and Early Toast. He's a good guy and I want to see him succeed.
He may have to adjust pricing after the honeymoon is over.

you gotta believe he's got a monster overhead there just on the lease payments...
the drinks I don't think were out of line... but after reading about the menu... $8 for a hot dog and fries is a little steep...
I mean it's not going to be a place I frequent every night... and after the newness wears off.. he will have to adjust prices... I don't think parking is a big deal there... I didn't mind walking past a few cars to get there... good for the exercise I need...
This is the only place like this on this side of town... I guess I could mozie over to the purple place and hang there...

I would agree, we went Friday for HH, good beer prices ($4 for the taps) and 1/2 off apps. Service was was spotty (never saw anyone bus a table until people are paying or leaving, also confusion on who had what table and which table ordered what) and food was mediocre (poor quality control).

Disagree. I was there tonight watching the Wings destroy Phoenix. Had good service and the food was fine. No problem at all. The place was packed.
I also noticed they are storing things in the now empty lighting store that was next door. I can see them expanding into this space soon as the will need the space. They have found the sports bar niche that Folsom has needed for a long time and with the mostly younger crowd that seems to dominate this place they won't even come close to failing.
There seemed to be plenty of servers and our food came very quickly even though it was crowded. The only potential downside is that Big Spoon may have their crowd scared away by all the bar patrons but only time will tell.
