My husband and I saw a BOBCAT!!!!! running across Oak Ave Parkway right by the dog park.

i saw a bobcat on Saturday too! it was on the bike trail in the Silberhorn-Oak Chan wetlands area. as i walked toward it along the trail, it walked into the open space and watched me pass from about 30 yards away.

My husband and I saw one this weekend next to Hazel McFarland Park. There was a dead deer he appeared to be eating. It was dark but even the headlights of the car didn't scare him.

When I first moved to Folsom my sister's cat was attached by a coyote when we lived in the apartments of Folsom-Auburn Road. Sunday morning about 9am. He lived probably due to being 16 lbs at the time. A neighbor saw the fight. We went looking for the missing cat around breakfast time and found him bloody and totally crazy. He was in fighting mode.

After that no outdoor cats for me, at least not in Folsom. It's not safe.

Saw a Coyote early this morning running through Hillcrest. Pretty good size too. I was amazed at how fast it ran and, even when it hit a dead end - it never stopped to figure out where it was going - it would just run and make wide turns at speed. Very impressive animal.

I saw one on the weekend standing on the edge of Blue Ravine watching the cars driveby, looked like he wanted to cross the street to make a withdrawal from the Golden One Credit Union. :D:
I would rather be Backpacking

We saw one last night on the hill just below the college. Beautiful animal. Of course I am also reminded that I am glad that I now keep my two "getting up there in age" cats indoors.

A coyote lives in the nature space behind my house and dines on turkeys and an occasional rabbit. We see
the coyote several times a week walking around and peeking into the backyards. Even encountering barking
dogs doesn't scare him away. I think the payoff of having turkeys and an occasional cat or two is worth
the risk for the coyote to hang around. Having lived in AZ in the 90's, it wasn't unusual to have a pack
of coyotes wandering the streets like gunslingers. There weren't any fences in the neighborhood so they
went wherever they wanted. I've seen cats with their stomachs gutted who were no match for the coyotes and saw a golden retriever chased around by a pack of coyotes on a golf course. Domesticated animals have no chance in
the open with a coyote. I've been surrounded by 3 coyotes who desperately wanted my 20 lb dog. They left
us alone after I yelled and flailed (sp) my hands for a couple of minutes. My dog was trained and knew
this was some serious sh*t and obeyed and fortunately didn't freak. We have quail, dove and a brown
egret looking bird that live in the back and mingle amongst approximately 40 turkeys.

My husband saw one the other day at the Windsor Park in Broadstone. He was very skinny and looked sick. He was wandering around and didn’t seemed spooked at all.

Saw a beautiful coyote this morning, it was cruising along the bulldozed fire-break on the Prison grounds next to Natoma.

I was walking south of the Iron Point and McAdoo intersection last weekend in the afternoon and saw a jackrabbit racing and bounding away, as if it were being chased. Sure enough, when I turned around, I saw a coyote emerge behind a mound. I was just thinking, whoa, do they attack people, when a second one appeared. Oops. So I yelled at them and they slunk away.

Saw a scraggly LITTLE guy the other morning at Bidwell and Blue Ravine in the Jack-In-The-Box parking lot. Probably came into town on the bike trail. Bad news.........
