Go see it first and then let's discuss variety....if you want variety move downtown where having "interesting" colors is acceptable on Victorians and appreciated, but in Folsom, well, it is a little more conservative.

I went by twice. From the front it's really a very nice, pretty house and not too bright. From Oak Avenue, while the light is shinging on it, it looks pretty bright.

Has anyone noticed the bright pink/purple home off of Oak Avenue Parkway on the left hand side if you are coming from East Bidwell? Aren't there CC&R's that control what colors home owners can paint their homes? This home is an eyesore!

http://www.flickr.co...smith/59154328/ -Look at those beautiful colorful houses! Now that would be a nice neighborhood. cool.gif So many pretty, pretty colours to stare at!

Wouldn't that be awesome to see a house with paintings of planets, or clouds, or hearts, or stars on it?

HAS EVERYONE NOTICED THAT THEY REPAINTED? YEAH! I, too, was really frustrated that a homeowner chose to completely ignore the neighbors in their choice of color. My guess is that they must have been from a very different culture or something because it was AWFUL coming from a suburban Cal perspective. There's a house on a street behind Goldridge Elementary that's a charcoal grey with salmon trim. It's very different than the original beiges and greys...but looks classy and fits within the culture of the community and looks classy...though I wouldn't want MY house that color. The pink house was not only in a cul-de-sac but also visible from Oak Avenue. My guess was that the city of Folsom went to bat on this one because it made the whole community rather, than their poor neighbors, only LOOK LIKE A 1970's TRAILOR PARK! AGAIN...THE HOUSE IS REPAINTED AND LOOKS GREAT!!!
