If it's country next week, I guess we'll have to keep Bucky around. He's dull. Definitely not the American idol.
"Sometimes on purpose and sometimes by accident, teachers' unions have a long history of working against the interests of children in the name of job security for adults. And Democrats in particular have a history of facilitating this obstructionism in exchange for campaign donations and votes." . . .Amanda Ripley re "Waiting for Superman" movie.

What do you guys think about Kellie Pickler?

From what I've heard, people either love her and her innocent ways, or they don't like her at all and are getting sick of her "dumb country" routine.

I personally think the producers maybe told her to play it up a bit, or are purposely asking her questions or giving her stuff she dosn't understand or never has seen before (calamari, spinach salad).

She's cute and nice and all, but I don't think she will win.

I hope Taylor wins. I like his performances.

Guess I should vote then hu?

I am really done with Kellie Pickler. I'm sure the producers play up the dumb factor, but you can't write things like, "What's a ballsy?" In addition, she's like Carrie Underwood Lite. Idol's been there, done that.

Favs: Chris and Taylor.

This week's show was lame, too. Since this is my first Idol watchin' season, does this usually happen once they hit the theme weeks?

Taylor, who has been one of my favorites, sucked.

Chris, other favorite, rocked. I thought he broke out from his typical rocker persona in a great way. His voice is good and, even without running all around, he still had good stage presence.

Thought Bucky would do better in this theme.

I thought that Kellie Pickler was the best tonight. It was country western theme night and she sings basically C/W music so she did great.

IMHO: Mandisa sure had an off night. Bucky sounded at home, but I still couldn't understand a word he was saying. I liked Chris and Pickler the best tonight. Strategically voted for Taylor though.

I was amazed by Chris' singing ability last night - in fact I thought he sung that country ballad even better then he's done on his rock songs - I think thats a niche he should try - he did really well doing something different for a change.

What happened to Taylor? I thought he was terrible last night

and Ace.... its time to get rid of the pretty boy...

Bucky - he still sucks

Someone told Taylor to stop with the body movements. A huge mistake! He sings better when he goes into his epileptic movements. The boy cannot stand still and sing, no soul that way.

Why do you hate Bucky so much? I think he's good.

Chris pulled it off. Like I've been saying all along, he had to get rid of the toughguy rocker dude image and show his range. He nailed it last night.

I'm a HUGE fan of McPhee, but she sounded a little off last night.

What the heck happened with Taylor Hicks last night? His back up singers overpowered him during the chorus and it sounded like crapola. Either they were way off key or he was. Rough night for Taylor fans.

If there are 2 people that absolutely go it's Ace and Paris. Both of them annoy the crap out of me.

Hahaha yeah his dance moves are like he's having a seizure...and you could be right -sometimes you gotta just let it go to get the soul grooving

Chris is the only one who stands apart as a quality singer and a true musician/artist.

You gotta give credit to Ace - singing, singing falsetto, smiling and showing his dimples all at the same time. He'd be absolutely fantastic in a boy band...

Taylor did suck last night but deserves some more air time.

McPhee is a good singer but she just doesn't have the star quality, even compared to someone like Mandisa. She'd be a fantastic back up singer for someone like James Taylor or even Don Henley...that's where Sheryl Crow got her start, you know. Maybe she can do back up vocals for Chris when he becomes idol.

Bucky's ok - but doesn't have that "wow" factor that Simon talks about - that thing that makes you wanna go out and buy his albums. He's just ok, someone I could picture playing at a bar but not at Arco arena

Chris has it - I would definately buy that song he sang last night. And you're absolutely right about him, I thought he was his at his best last night, better then the rocker thang and it showed he has more range then just loud vocals and power chords.

I guess Taylor was due for an off night....

Paris is really good but I just don't think she's idol material - she's too young and she's got such a future ahead of her already with her aunt's fame that I'm sure she'll get a record deal regardless of how far she goes on AI.

Ace has got to go - he'd be the #1 person to vote off this week....it'll be interesting to see the results tonite

I don't know, maybe I just have the McPheever. She puts on a show where Bucky, Pick Pickler & Ace just stand there (or sit there) and sing. Chris, Paris, and Mandessa all put on a show as well, but I guess I think McPheever just does it with more style. She is as good a singer as any of them. However Chris was the best last night! I really like Taylor also when he is movin and groovin.
1. Who would you buy an album from right now?
2. Wo would you pay $$ to go watch?

for me I would probably buy an album from Chris (yea Benning maybe with McPheever as a back up) and I would probably pay $20.00 to watch Taylor in a medium sized setting.
