Please stop making this personal with me or my daughter. My daughter was rightly disgusted by the behavior of people who call themselves professionals. Teachers climbing bookshelves in the school library, standing on tables and standing on expensive library equipment is not professional. It doesn't model good behavior for any students. Ignoring the fire marshall who was simply looking out for your safety and the safety of the children parents chose to bring into the room is not professional and does not garner anyone's respect. Students, including my daughter, don't have a say in negotations. She wasn't taking sides, but was just so appalled that she felt she had to speak out -- yeah for her. Luckily none of her own teachers were those who were Teachers Gone Wild last night. I'm glad you weren't one of those who was making comments at a student TM, but your peers were, and that is reprehensible.

P.S. Why are you focusing so much on my personal appearance, what my face looks like, what clothing I was wearing? This wasn't the Oscars. It sounds like bullying me for the way I look. Our district has a strict bullying policy!

I don't know who you are trying to fool. Non-bullying...please...is anyone even taking you seriouly at all. All I was saying was that times have changed, but the dance hasn't...Gessh, I said you looked the same as 8 years ago. Isn't that kind of a compliment? I can honestly say the look on your face did not have any concern on it. More of disgust, which is your perogative.

Reprehensible? Don't even get me started on reprehensible.

Her she goes...she goading me on and I know you all can see it...I'll play along for a bit...

I'm NOT attacking you personally, just painting a picture...

I went with one of my kids to see what the fuss was about. The room was quite full, but I was surprised that people thought they could climb the furniture to see. I was also surprised that people were walking behind the board making comments while the speakers went up front. I wasn't surprised to see the fire marshall, but he couldn't even get anyone to listen to him. He asked everybody to exit until they figured out what to do and the teachers actually refused. He had to call the Folsom police. It was really ironic to see people holding signs demanding respect when they were so disrespectful themselves. I want my teachers to be compensated. I don't want to see them publicly embarrassing themselves, the district, and their profession. Sorry to those of you who behaved. There were enough bad apples to spoil the bunch last night.

One bad apples don't spoil the whole bunch girl...oooowwww...whatever...

IT"S A PROTEST for God's sake...Get a clue...

Go ahead and focus on people climbling...whatever...it wasn't me. I had a nice seat by Mark.

I can't speak for anyone else here... but I am sure not taking you seriously. You have become way too emotional in your latest posts. Don't you think you should step back and actually read what you are typing before hitting send. Is that why you deleted just about all your opening posts?

This whole thread has really disappointed my view of the FCUSD...

I can't believe that teachers would USE their students for personal gain.
I can't believe teachers would take up valuable class time to talk about their negotiations.
I can't believe that teachers would personally attack a school board member's daughter.

How embarrassing.

I was going to call it? I have nothing, repeat nothing, to do with last night's meeting.

I don't think you're my child's teacher. For one, she hasn't worn a green shirt a single time. Two, she's much nicer, more professional and more level-headed than you have been here (though I understand that you could be a lot different in person and in the classroom). Three, self-professed, she's not very internet-saavy.

I have to say, the schools were a big part of Folsom's attraction. I say "were" because I'm totally turned off now.

TM70, in my short few months as a public-school student's parent, I have spent a ton of time and effort helping NSE in the classroom and outside of the classroom. Understanding that teachers are overwhelmed, I was more than happy to help contribute and affect positive-change. But when I look back, my moves have been second-guessed because of "protocol" and politics. Then I'm told here that basically my viewpoint isn't welcomed, but instead discounted and attacked just because I'm not a teacher. Well, guess what? You want me out of the way? You don't care about my perspective? Then, fine, I'll get out of the way. But next time I'm asked to help out, don't be surprised if you find me less than receptive.

I can't say I'm pulling for the district, but I honestly don't give a rat's arse about the teachers at this point.

Not you! I was talking about "Tess Babe" not my words EDF of course...EDF you have to be careful what you're saying here. I'm running with that one...As soon as I got to the meeting, before it started of course, I could just tell, she was going to end that meeting asap. It's in the playbook. This is how it's done. They are hoping that we will not come back in as big a numbers. I've felt underwhelmed by some of our previous efforts, but last night put all of that to rest. There are a lot more people working in the district now, so more people are to show up for these board meetings than 8 years ago. I hope they know that. You've got everyone's attention now. Whether you think we are spoiled or not. No matter...we are going 1K plus next time...

ARSE(Edited by TM70) now, now, now...

Sorry you feel badly about working with the teachers at NSE. Great school... Another thing...you're going laugh, your principal knows me well. He'll laugh his arse off if he ever finds out who I am. That's funny...I like Jay...and my parents like me. I'm a little "zany" in the class, but I would never talk to people like this in real life. My parents really like me and respect me. Here, who cares, it's a forum. You all are too serious at times... We've had this conversation already, but when people come out and lump all the teachers into one group I'm going to lump too. I'm not above it and to be honest. It's hilarious. Some people on here are so high and mighty...When this all blows over, and it will, it will all be forgotten until next time...

Your daughter was well spoken and had a valid point. I was appalled by the way some of my collegues were acting. Everyone should have left when asked by the fire department. It set a poor example for the kids. Emotions are running way too high.

Not advocating anything. All I did was clap. I never uttered a yeah or boo last night. Much too entertaining to just sit back. I rolled my eyes at Mark and he rolled his eyes back...whatever...

If you think the emotions are high now. How about those teachers yelling "B*itch up!" back to PG. He said that to us two Augusts ago. Now it's coming back...

You can't censor the superintedent! He's the one who told us to B*itch Up!

Last night we had over 500 people up in arms. Next time, we'll double it.
This is exactly why TM70 is here - she is baiting you. She wants a riot and then will cry we didn't know that would happen. Ohhh poor me!

She is now posting her junk on the other board too. She seems to have a lot of time for destruction on her hands.

"All the time in the world" H.G. Wells The Time Machine...

I don't want a riot. I just want a fair offer. Get over yourselves...

"No, you get over yourself"

"NO, you shut up"

"No, you shut up"

Classic...

You aren't embarrassed one bit on how some of your fellow teachers are acting?

Don't really like pudding... but thanks for the advice.

Who cares that this is just a forum?! Do you not care that you are the worst PR for the teacher's union that I've seen? Playing with our students and with us is not hilarious. It's childish, immature and counter-productive. I've never seen anyone try to gain support and push people away at the same time. You are doing nothing but hurting your cause. And, no, it's not going to be forgotten. I've talked to a number of people who don't post on this forum but read it and you've created a lot of animosity towards the teachers. In fact, I know two people who were on the fence between Brighton Schools and Folsom schools and they are running to Brighton because of what they've read here.

Come down off your horse and face reality. You want to level the playing field, not pitch it against the teachers.

I don't care how "zany" you are in the classroom. I'm not laughing here. At all. In fact, Jay, if you're reading this, can you tell TM70 to cut it out? That is, unless she wants the teachers to look bad.

Are you sure your parents and Jay like you? You can claim anything you like, but we don't have to believe you. It seems like you have taken the opportunity of anonymity to show what is likely your true colors. You seem like one of those people who will try to ram someone in traffic because you think they cut you off. It is sad that you are doing this while claiming to represent the rest of the teachers.

Maybe the parents and the district should picket teacher's union HQ with Respect The Kids! signs. Or "No More Cuts for Salaries". Letters to the editor anyone? It's all about the money.

Sanmateo60, are you a teacher? If so, I hope your voice is heard more loudly than TM's. You seem to have some sense to act like a professional.

I hope TM70 is not a real teacher. S/he sure doesn't sound like one.

I am not going to hold TM70's rants against the teachers. My kids have had great teachers at NSE, and I don't believe any of them would talk/think like that.

That's where I take issue. I haven't played even one of my students. Get over it, it's not happening. If anyone is getting played, it's me or someone like you.

No children were injured, mentally or physically, in the posting of this...post...

I'm not trying to gain support anymore. Why should I? Everything I have said on this board has been shut down almost immediately. The only people who get me are the ones who have a sense of humor and other teachers.

Seriously, go to Brighton. Good luck with that one... rolleyes.gif

No more comments about Jay here. I don't want to involve you. You can't benefit from anything I'm doing here...

What if I came on here and was totally professional, etc...nothing would change, except that you would be keeping your thoughts to yourself. Now they are all out in the open...that's the difference. I don't care if you like it or not. And to be honest, any parent thinking about FCUSD versus Brighton who factors in what I'm saying need only look in the mirror for the bearer of bad judgment...
