Alot of good info on the Can-Am site about the 3 wheeled Spyder. I have seen a few of them around Folsom and the foothills and I think the American Marine Sports near Sunrise sells them along with power boats and other toys.

Is the opinion from 2 wheel motorcyclists positive or negative?

Technologically it's pretty impressive. But seems to be the answer to a q no one is asking. You can get a Gold Wing or a Miata for the same level of money, one is a better giant motorcycle and the other is a better tiny convertible. But if a road-going snowmobile is what you want, here it is.

I haven't ridden one yet, but just from an engineering perspective, I think fundamentally it should be more stable than the traditional 3-wheeler with 2 tires in the back. But I think my Dad summed up Trikes best by saying why would anyone want to ride something that had the worst traits of a car and the worst traits of a motorcycle in one. On a trike, you give up the 2 wheel narrowness and agility and light weight of a motorcycle, yet you are still stuck out in the elements with minimal protection in the event of an accident.

Now if someone comes up with a lightweight motorcycle, with the protection of a full roll cage and protection from the elements, that would be the vehicle of the future.

If you go back to my original post, you will notice "this" is colored blue. It is a hyperlink to the website that will tell you all about what "this" is.

Note, the second "this" above is blue, so it has the same hyperlink so you don't have to go back up to my previous post to find it. Just mouse over the blue "this" and click on it.

It is most likely next week. All the others have been on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
I don't know why the site doesn't have anything listed.

February lists Lagunitas. That is one I would like to go to.

Wish I could, but work demands otherwise... Maybe next week...
Have one for me while you are at it. Pliny the Elder is yummy.

I can't make it today, a co-worker is bringing 20 bottles of his homebrew for taste testing today at lunch time.

It's a dirty thankless job, but somebody's got to do it. laugh.gif

I only have one bad thing to say about Manderes - It's too small or always busy when we go there. Do they have any plans to expand? I suppose it's like GoldMiner's Cafe. The wait is worth it.

I love everything about this place. The food is fresh and delicious; the atmosphere is low key but fun. It is one of a few places my son will eat in Folsom. He is a chef in San Francisco and is a foodie... Manderes is the only place I feel confident in knowing he'll appreciate a good meal and enjoy the atmosphere.

Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary!! smile.gif

The owner's of Manderes would love to expand with a patio, but the city would then require them to do some other work on the building, which they do not own, at a cost of thousands of dollars.

Folks have a tendency to hang out there for long periods, so it can be tough to get a spot.
