Its OSU vs Fla. The pollsters decided this one. The computers had Mich and Fla at the same strength... but the pollsters picked against a rematch.
Wisconsin will play Arkansas in the Capital One Bowl.
When will the BCS learn that ND doesn't belong. They will once again get slaughtered by a superior LSU team. Its all about money and viewership.

I'm looking forward to the Rose Bowl and is Florida really that good to play with Ohio State?
Since this post was originally about the how good Big Ten is...we will get some answers as they have some pretty tough matchups. IMHO...I felt they ( Big Ten) were overrated and didn't really play anybody.
Looking forward to seeing Boise State play against Oklahoma...Are they really that good? What happens if Florida beats Ohio State and Boise State beats Oklahoma...who would be number 1 or number 2?
Should be an interesting bowl season!

USC beats up on Michigan (like they did to Cal, Arkansas and ND).
No one except students and alumni of the other schools care about the other bowls.
So the rankings end up as they were a week ago: OSU #1, USC #2.

Great Boise State vs Oklahoma game. One of the best in a long time.

The Badgers defense was killer. However, their offense was lacking, even though Stocco had decent passing stats. However, keeping the other team from scoring worked here.
Looking forward to next year. We'll get a new QB, but other than that, it's a pretty young team that can build upon this year. We'll also enter the season highly ranked. It's amazing that we weren't ranked until the seventh week of the season and went into today's bowl at #7. (And no BCS bowl game!)
I think this year's turn of events is going to show that if you're going to have a Nat'l Champ, you need a playoff system.
Boise State game was awesome!
I'd dish about the Michigan game, but it's a no-no subject in this house now.

Did Lloyd Carr even prepare his team? Were they hanging out at Disneyland the whole week! Chad Henne looked like he had "happy feet" in the pocket the entire game. USC wanted it more... and it showed. Much more intensity and better play execution.

Not the best game played by the Badgers (especially the offense)... but they played well enough to win. That's all that matters is the final score and your team having more points.
The one positive about the offense is that Wisconsin won because of their passing game... not their running game. The Badgers have been too one dimensional on offense... and its looking like they are trying to balance their attack.
Even though the defense gave up a few big plays... they still knew how to recover and keep Arkansas out of the end zone.
Looking forward to next season. Now its on to UW basketball (number 4 in the country).

Koz, By now you should be acknowledging the Big 10 was overrated! They are 2-4 in Bowl games and were extremely lucky to win either one of those games they won.
The Badgers did barely enough to win. They had negative 4 yards rushing! The Badger punter made the 3rd best throw of the game after his punt was blocked. Heisman runner up McFaddin, was still hurt and playing at about 70%.....or he would have never gotten caught on that breakaway. Arkansas recievers dropped passes and their DB's dropped possible interceptions. The Badgers MADE a 52 yard field goal and the Hogs missed a 30 yarder and that was the difference in the game. The Badgers did what they had to do to win the game, but they sure didn't look like the 8th best team in the country, IMHO. Stocco did impress me with his gutsy effort.
Penn State returned a fumble late in the game 88 yards for the winning score to beat Tennessee for their other win.
USC dominated Michigan, because they are the BETTER team!
The Big 10 teams are generally designed to win the conference and go to the Rose Bowl. They just don't have the overall athleticism other good teams have from other conferences and usually other teams generally open up a can on them by years end.
Coach Tressel at Ohio State understands there is more than just beating up on the patsies of the Big 10 and this is why he is playing in the National championship.

Hey Bob...
You are one of the most negative people I have ever run into in life. Something bad must have happened to you... in order to give you such a bitter taste in your mouth. Did God deal you the wrong hand in life? Did you not get into Wisconsin or another Big Ten school when you went to college?
The Badgers won! Deal with it... I love your excuses after the fact! If the Badgers played so bad... as you claim... then Arkansas should have won 63-0! But then come your excuses. Guess what... it was 17-14... and the Badgers beat a highly ranked team some claim to be #2 or #3 in the almighty SEC!
Big Ten vs SEC... 2-0... soon to be 3-0!
You can't spoil my joy over the Badgers victory Bob... but nice try. I'll be enjoying this one for a while.

Koz,
Happy New Year!
I believe you were the one that started this thread about how the Big Ten was the best conference. I believe I previsouly pointed out that the Big Ten was overrated and that with the Bowl games we would see which conference was the best. So far the Big Ten is 2-4 against other teams and realistically could be 0-6.
Even though I am from the midwest, I'm sensing I don't have the emotional loyalties to the Big Ten that you may have. Therefore my opinion about the Big Ten may be just slightley more objective than yours. If the Big Ten was 5-1 or even 4-2 in bowl games and had dominated some games I would then be agreeing with your assessment about the Big Ten.
Yesterday was the first time I have seen the Badgers play this season. The Badgers Coach acknowledged that they didn't play very well, but they did indeed do what they had to do to win the game.
I tend to try and deal with realities rather than emotions, although I'm guilty of rooting for Boise State and as Cal stated they probably really aren't the best team in the country. So if pointing out to you that the Big Ten is 2-4 in Bowl games and haven't really dominated any bowl game yet, makes me the most negative person you have ever run into....I not going to attempt to persuade you otherwise.
Since I don't belive we have ever met, I don't know you well enough to form an opinion about you. Rest assured, even if I did I wouldn't share it publically.
I hope the rest of the Bowl games are entertaining.
