I second John's observation. This was the first year I've been on my roof since I bought in 1999. I tried to do some work with the ladder but decided to risk it. I've been up there a dozen times since and not a single crack.

I walk on the ends of the tiles where they overlap the one below them -- and on solid section (not the seams). I weight about 220 pounds, but use tennis shoes to disperse the weight evenly.

But the tiles are rougher than sandpaper. Bring some gloves with you if you think you're going to be using your hands at all -- and don't bring your good jeans if you're going to need to sit.

My girls are really into the christmas lights this year. Does anyone know of a street that is decked out with holiday cheer? I would love to take them around to see some beautiful displays!

Hey Livermore way out in folsom has some awesome houses
one is a peppermint wonderland and one of them even has a real
operating train in the front yard
just to name a few!
The peppermint wonderland was at 163 livermore
the other ones are all up and down
my kids absolutely loved the peppermint
wonderland!

I second Dovewood Ct. It's fantastic!

I agree this is a wonderful place.. For a smaller awesome place of lights is right behind where we live in the Enclave. Its in the older homes in back of us.. Two houses are decked out. You turn your radio in the car to station they are using and watch the lights go to the music.. Its wonderful!! Its off of Glenn & Vierra.. Right by the Firestation!!

We sat there for 30 minutes saturday night just watching them..
