Thoughts, prayers and peace to everyone

My thoughts exactly. There isn't a whole lot more to be said.

This is actually the third horrible thing to happen involving a prison guard.

Murder/Suicide
Car accident including the death of an officer
and now this.

This is soooo sad.

The news is terrible. It makes me angry to see speculation by the media. They need to let the police do their investigation without anyone marring the memory of this young man.

I agree. My son just came home and I talked to him about what they're saying on Channel 13.....he said that ____ didn't have a laptop computer.....he said that didn't make any sense.

I think Channel 13 is jumping to conclusions without facts..... trying to make it more sensational than it already is. Sad.

so they say " "He was not bound or gagged. We are not ruling out suicide or an accidental death. But there are no signs of foul play."

but what about the guy that found him with his feet tied up behind his legs ?

A really good question.

My daughter too, has been devastated by the loss of her close friend. I have just spent time with a room full of shocked teens who should never have to know the pain of the death of a friend at this age. Let alone the unimaginable that his family is experiencing.
Don't skip to any conclusions...just hug your kids and tell you that you love them EVERY SINGLE DAY. I know that "A" knew that he was loved...and that he loved his family and friends dearly. What a true loss for our kids and our community...XOXOXO

My friend (FPD Officer) told me that it is not a Murder........ It looks like a tragic accident. Please don't jump on the Murder/KKK thing......not a chance!

No matter how you look at this, someone else had to be involved in some way. Whoever the person or persons were they will also have to live with what happened.

Again, I feel for the family, and I think that is all I am going to say for now.

A VETERAN Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount "up to and including their life". That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it. -Author unknown-

This is horrible; not because it's in Folsom, not because his dad is a guard, not because the family is biracial, not because his shirt was on or off, feet tied or not tied... it's just horrible that there are many loved ones left behind with pain, questions, and the thought that the young man must have also been in some sort of situation that lead to this. It doesn't matter how we loose a loved one... and especially it's not supposed to happen that a parent must go through a funeral of their own child.... there is no greater pain in the world for a person to experience than to go through the ordeal of a death. We must stay focused on lifting the family, friends and loved ones up for prayer and healing because their lives will never be the same.

A different twist: CBS News Story.

I must say that I find it incredibly offensive that CBS would so quickly jump to this type of reporting. The police have not ruled out.....give me a break.

Good points. I think it's normal for us to want an explanation, especially with the concern that our own children may be at risk, but a little more time for investigation should certainly be expected, and the news media doesn't have to publish every grisly detail for us to get the info we need for our families. Beyond that, it's just to satisfy people's curiosity at the cost of the family's privacy... How much more difficult it must be to go through a tragedy in the age of omnipresent immediate news publication sad.gif

The sad fact is that news reporting is a business, Ch. 13 is behind in the ratings (by a very large percentage), and they've become an Inside Edition-type broadcast. That's why I don't watch them.

Let's focus on the facts, as we learn them from those who know them, but more importantly, let's focus our energy on the family and friends in our Folsom community who are suffering. Their grief must be unbearable....
