Yes, I'm also getting sick of these referees/lawyers determining the outcome of many games with their jackass, marginal calls. Yes, in basketball and football, there WILL BE some contact. Let 'em play, unless it's an obvious, blatant mugging of the guy, for KeyRyst's sake. And if ya don't want to be touched, then GET AWAY FROM THE GUY, THAT IS, IF YOU HAVE THE SPEED AND TALENT TO DO SO, OTHERWISE SHUT UP AND PLAY....Man, even our professional sports are becoming wussified. Is anything sacred anymore ??

I definitely got a sense the NFL wanted a certain outcome and made sure it got it.

I have to agree..... the Ravens were doing great, then suddenly they started getting call after bs call... it that guy hadn't been called for holding on that second to last play, the Ravens would have won the game.

Just wait til NE plays the Fins --- the only winless team against an undefeated team. Miami better pull it out --- what an upset it will be..

All your conspiracy theories are bunk. How come you all seem to forget that idiot Raven's coach who called time out when they stuffed Brady on 4th and 1? They had the game won and blew it. So you think after that they called to the refs and said give the Pats the next 4 calls so they can score? Absurd.

Just to keep the "conspiracy" theory going...
The Patriots last game of the regular season is at the Giants. If NE is 15-0 up to this point... the game will definitely draw lots of interest... and most likely go down as an historic game if NE can pull it off. The funny thing is... the game is scheduled to be on the NFL Network. Many people around the country do not have the NFL Network because of the league's battle with many cable companies about carrying the channel on their systems. Approx 70 million less people will have an opportunity to watch this game because of the ongoing battle.
If NE would go into this game with a 14-1 record... the NE vs NYG game would draw much less interest than if NE was 15-0. The more valuable the NE vs NYG game... the more leverage the NFL will have to force cable companies to carry the NFL Network on basic cable. Some sources say the NFL could have potential revenue of nearly $1B if they sign up all cable companies to carry the NFL Network. What a way to promote their product by having NE 15-0... attempting an undefeated season for the first time since the 1972 Dolphins (35 years)!
So... does the NFL have a vested interest in NE going 15-0 into the last game of the year. You bet!

The Patriots over the Jets will be a bigger spread, with the whole Billachick and Manigini (I can't spell) soap opera going on.

The Patriots v. Giants game this Saturday will be on all of the following networks...
NFL... NBC (Ch 3)... and CBS (Ch 13).
First 3 network simulcast. Spells lots of commercial time to sell. NFL still making lots of $$$. Pats going for perfect regular season... 16-0.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict the Patriots have the best chance of any other team of going undefeated this regular season!
