They also gave me a "sleeping" pill because I hadn't slept in days. In actuality, it was a strong benadryl, but just enough to allow me to sleep a little. I think it relaxed me enough to let the show start. Out of L&D at 8pm, back at 11pm, baby at 4:30am.

Well, that whole walking/nap/bath thing didn't work last night.

And w're rescheduling the C-section to Thursday (if they can get us in).

With doing it tomorrow, I probably wouldn't have gotten released in time to make it to Jessica's final Nutcracker performance on Monday. So, I canceled the appt for tomorrow.

Just keeping everyone updated. (You know, if this baby had just come on her due date, all of this could have been avoided. Heh.)

Well, as I have experienced, the baby will come when it is least convenient to your plans.

That would be, when you are sitting in the audience, watching your daughter's Nutcracker Performance!

Take along a towel, because you'll need it when your water breaks there!!!! Because this is not your first child, you'll probably give birth before you make it to the hospital!!!

My wife's water broke when we were at the movies!!!! Baby was born on the way to hospital!

Thanks, wrabbit! That's actually funny because we have two towels in the back of the car, put there because we have gone to the movies three times in the past week(Nothing else to do when you're sitting around, waiting on baby) and we wanted to be prepared. (Just got back from a sneak preview of The Golden Compass. It was eh.)

You're probably right, though, but hey. At least I'll be able to get her ready for it and won't have to stress out about no one being there to control certain aspects of the evening that can be unsavory if they are not kept in check.

Don't use a towel. Use a newborn diaper. Someone told me this when I was pregnant and I stashed one in my car. Good thing because my water broke at the Home Depot and the very absorbent disposable diaper (vs. the icky towel) came in quite handy.

I've given up hope of having a b-day buddy. sad.gif

My birthday is the 4th - I'll share! Besides, the baby won't be able to eat any of my cake!

Well, you haven't been on the board for a few hours--I'm thinking it is probably about time. However, if the baby hasn't made an attempt yet; I'd say--try some music. I don't mean classical, either. I mean get a cd player and headphones--and put those headphones on your belly!! Seriously--get some good rock and roll going.


That baby will come flying out-within a few hours!!

I actually did post today in another thread. I didn't go into labor at my daughter's performance last night and have not yet today, either. I am about to go to the doctor's for monitoring, though, and will talk about rescheduling the C-section.

I'm pretty done with trying anything though. I've tried everything and nothing is working on her little stubborn butt, so I've pretty much just given up.
