I havent met many British people here. I've actually met more Irish residents of Folsom than British.

That's 'cause something like 90% of Americans are Irish or part Irish. With the old mines barges and railroads in this greater area; it;s no surprise of how many Irish descendants are here.


Plus, the Irish kick the English butts at everything they do, from Rugby and soccer to prose and terrorism.

My family tree is pretty pure English for a while back. There is some Irish, Scottish, and Welsh in there, but I still qualify as Pure Bred.

English singers are hot.

Madonna is not English, although I give her some credit for the accent. It's hard not to pick up an accent when you live somewhere. I'm sure my American accent sounded just as silly to both sides when I first lived here.

My accent still comes and goes, depending on who I talk to. I even pickup an Irish or Welsh accent very easily, too, even though that's not my native tongue.

Britain has been in turmoil for most of it's history. I think the history of the empire stands alone in demonstrating the unions power and influence. However, as with anything, the world is always in flux. England continues to be a great nation, despite being too bloody cold to live in.
