Sounds about typical for a teen today. No remorse and not a care in the world. Hopefully she'll change her tune when she's in front of the judge and gets her sentence. Oh and a nice civil case against her family with a large $$ settlement might help as well. I'm glad the women are recovering, the teen makes me sick.

what the..? why is she out of jail? she committed a felony DUI - nearly killing two people and she's out of jail and back to work already???
that's insane!! I can only assume mommy and daddy are wealthy and posted the bail for her - which is shameful that the judge didn't set a higher bail for a person who is an obvious danger to society
and I have to ask this... how is she getting to work? if she's driving - there is something seriously wrong with our laws

If I remember correctly, I believe she was out on bail within 24-48 hours. And if she is driving, would anyone really be surprised?

I am NOT surprised at all. You hear about these REPEAT DUI offenders committing the same dui again and again. I know they have the 3 strikes law, but they need to stiffen the penalties bigtime. I am telling you that we can make a sizeable dent in any state budget by increasing the fine limits on DUI. make a $50k first time offense fee and/or repo of your car and home.

My loser ex-husband got a DUI with my daughter in the car with him, and he got a slap on the hand.
That's just the one time he got caught - I can only imagine how many times he's driven severely impaired.

Oh, sure, they go thru the dog and pony show of DUI checkpoints every few months, but that's just for show. If they cared, they'd conduct those much more often than they do.
Yes, there's a high-profile DUI once in awhile, but then the hoopla dies down and everyone forgets.
