To reiterate my post # 42 and elaborate

I would rather drive to the Manila Restaurant in South Sac, because before I get there, I know what will be on the menu. I don't want to go to the Folsom Outlets, walk into the place to read the whiteboard and decide, no I'm not interested, where else do we want to go.

Restaurants that do daily specials posted via their white/chalk boards are the best kind, gotta luv trying something new and unique once in a while instead of the same ol' thing every time

have a nice drive to South Sac dude

I do like the food there, but the menu is rather limited. Hence my desire for a "full-fledged" restaurant.

Teriyaki Station is for sale. To fullfill your desire for a "full-fledged" restaurant, how about buying this place?

Hey Naga,
What about Karens Bakery? Are they for sale too? Seems like every place with decent food in this town is for sale ( T Tu Yan for example). Can you provide a comprehensive list of what Folsom restaurants are for sale?

I don't mind trying daily specials, but as the only Filipino food offered in the restuarant is a daily special, that tells me they aren't marketing themselves and offering a full Filipino menu to order from in the restaurant. I like some filipino food, but not all, just like I like japanese food, chinese food, korean food, italian food, german food, mexican food, ..., but I don't like every dish of every nationality. So if I want Filipino, but the daily special isn't one of the Filipino dishes I care for, then it's a wasted trip if I don't want to settle for a "rice bowl" or Udon noodles.

So they won't be getting me as a customer and I'll reserve my Filipino dining for a real Filipino restaurant when I make my trips to the market Seafood City to stock up on Tocino and Langonesa

Oh, there is another place I can get good Filipino food, it's called potlucks at my work.
It's nice working with people from different nationalities as it makes for wonderfully diverse potluck dishes to sample from.
I would rather be Backpacking

The Best REAL in America Ethnic foods I have ever had were from PotLucks at work - We had them Monthly or at least every two months and as I had a crew of 375 on three shifts I sure got a lot a great food- Especially- Filipino , Portuguese , Vietnamese, Spanish and REAL Mexican...

At another job I had several ethic types of Asian Indians bring in for potluck along with the Filipino--

Gosh - I wish I could find food like that again...

George godbless on your entrepreneur ambition and catering. I've always admired your efforts to the community, your business model so to speak but no pun intended is a "Recipe for success" I'm sure you will continue to be successful. Those lunch specials will certainly be missed.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
"Wow! What a Ride!"
