If someone says they want something but says they can't afford it, then they are being too cheap to buy it. You might think I am being too harsh, but even those who are living paycheck to paycheck in this town, I am sure are wasting money on things that they could do without in order to afford an automated sprinkler system.
for instance, are they buying pre-made meals or cooking from scratch?
Do they smoke? Quit and save yourself $100's of dollars every year.
Gotta have that Starbucks each morning, another $100's of dollars each year.
That's my point, why should my tax dollars pay for someone else to have a luxury item!
"You might think I am being too
harsh..." Nooo, I wouln't say *that's *the adjective I'm thinking about you now...
You are *really* judgemental and make a lot of false assumptions! I was going to ignore your (negative adjective here) earlier comment and let others take you to task as they already have, but this is really too much.
I am not cheap. That's insulting. You don't know me or know my lifestyle.
First, I haven't visited a Starbucks (or any other coffee house for that matter) in years. I don't smoke and we try to restrict our eating out to 1-2 times a month.
I watch what I spend so I can retire in comfort.
I can't afford a $1000 right now for automatic sprinklers as I just bought a house and had to put 30k into making it livable an dit wiped out my savings.
My suggestion was tongue in cheek and frankly I find your definition of them as "Luxury" hysterical.
Why don't you try and have an actual conversation on here instead of the judge-fest and insult-o-rama that you typically post???
