If it were my machine, I would have lost my job already.... my employer would never tolerate anything less than instantaneous responses....
There's a definite delay that doesn't happen as I surf the net, company intranet, etc.
I have a DSL line on this end with a wireless router setup, but even when I physically connect to the router which is most of the day, I still notice the difference after the transition to the new environment.

Well- dial up speeds on this site are no slower than normal 
Actually there seems to be some improvement so maybe it is not optimized for the higher bandwidth users.

I bet it's your firewall. I'm trying to make some changes to alleviate that. Some people do not see the ads at the bottom... your server is probably having a hard time with them.

Well, yes, I do have a personal desktop firewall and a built in firewall within my router software, so I guess I'll have to live with it.... the firewalls have as much chance of going away as my home's front door...
