Mountain Lion Attacks Should you stand or run when faced with a mountain lion? Today on Insight, we’ll hear the story of a survivor of a mountain lion encounter, and learn about a new study that suggests what to do.

I KNOW there are! I see them there all the time with their wild manes and their long nails! They are always rising their noses in the air to sniff for fresh flesh.

They are very dangerous!!!

I once knew a man who had an encounter with one of them, and he.....well, never mind. whistle.gif

And it the first time I have heard of a report of more than one lion in the area.

That would probably be because it is cub season.

The cougar is cunning in its natural environment. She preys on the stray male that gets separated from his pack.

The best defense against the cougar is the wingman. Whoa to the wingman who fails to protect its inebriated charge or to fall on the grenade (otherwise know as the cougar's pack)!

You can observe the cougar/ wingman circle of life phenomenon around Folsom at places like the Powerhouse and Scarlett's.
In the immortal words of Jean Paul Sartre, 'Au revoir, gopher'.

If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball.
