You guys, I get it...

I won't ever throw MyFolsom under the bus. It will always be the flagship site of the network. However expansion was always in mind since day 1. There's a point at which there is demand to talk about El Dorado Hills, Orangevale, Sacramento, etc... so I made the appropriate forums with it. As such, I always envisioned MyFolsom-like communities for these areas. But I realize you come here to talk about mostly Folsom, and not really Citrus Heights, etc.

I'm not making any changes right now. IF (big "if") I ever do, I promise it will be something you like - and something you can identify with. Stay tuned.

Thanks, John.

And when that day comes for big change, I'm confident that most will be behind you!

Again, thank you for MyFolsom.

the reason to expand is simple - I want to grow my empire. I understand your needs here; you want to keep it local, and I get that. I just need to figure out a way to grow while keeping it local. I have an idea how, but my current forum software doesn't allow what I am looking to do.

I think you should do it. Anyone with an empire should make steps to grow it if they want. It is the American way. We can adapt... Yes we can...

I a little bit hesitant about changes, but I understand that they can be of condusive if properly executed. As far as I am concerned they can have Sacramento (City Of) and keep it. I believe we are doing them a favor by letting them come and visit us !!! HeHe lol....

I think #1 is the guy that set up the forum for me way back in the day and #2 is an admin account.

Here is my 2 cents if you care John. If expanding the site = more business and advertisers and pays for some more diapers and other stuff for your family, I am all for it.

I think people (and I am also guilty of this) often times forget that this site is NOT a .org or a free service site. It is a business. So for all the folks that get all emotional, please chill out and understand that this may be a buisness decision.

Sometimes in life things happen that we may not agree with , but if you take a 10k view, you would do the SAME exactr thing as John if you were the owner of this site.

Frankly, I am surprised that it took this long to arrive at this possible decision.

I say, Go for it John!!!

I would like to see more people from Folsom posting.....the most users online was over 2 years ago now....I miss the old days when there was tons of posts and topics. Is there a way to get more people involved again instead of changing it?

John, I am fairly new to this site and Folsom.....I love the way it is, but am with you if you feel you need to change it! I am confident that the change will be done in a way that still honors Folsom.....but I'm really lovin' the myfolsomanditsuburbs.com idea! too funny......
