Hi ducky,

I like your inputs on here, but I have to argue with the above label and I know you know the world is more diverse than that. I know at least 2 of the moderators on this forum are anything but atheist liberals (not that you said they were, but the moderation is such the discussions won't be limited to this narrow group). I also know many liberals that are also very religious. I also know there are others like me that have one foot in the atheist liberal camp and the other foot firmly planted in the conservative smaller government lower taxes camp.

Hi Bill Z,

Don't know if you know it, but I am a fan of your posts on here. I do believe in God, but I'm not fond of organized religion. I also want less government interference in our lives(oops, was that too political).

I was being ridiculous on purpose with the atheist liberal line. Sorry it offended you.
I don't believe it's the moderators that want to narrow the topics here. I totally get how they would have been sick and tired of the politics thread. I don't have a problem with them. In fact, if you ask any of them I rarely make a complaint against other posters no matter how insulting I find them. I believe the only time I've complained was in the defense of another or when I've seen very offensive language used against someone because I know John wants to keep this a family friendly place.

Thanks, I guess I should have realized the bolded above.

And that's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown

Wait, When did Charlie Brown ever have anything to do with Christmas, Religion or Politics?

I thought it was about a dog who liked to sleep on top of his dog house --a little kid with a sexual identity crisis and who carried around a miniature piano,--- and an overbearing little girl who single handedly wussified all the males in her life?

Then again, I really didn't watch that show very much......

Maybe you would prefer to read the true history of christmas from a christian website.

http://www.thercg.org/books/ttooc.html

You can get back to me when you realize Santa Claus and the birth of Christ are really two different things that were only later joined together by the church.

Since I have studied the New Testament I know that Jesus birth was not in December. Nonetheless Christmas is the "Christ Mass", St. Nick was a real saint (a believer in Christ), and all the commericalism/gift giving have nothing to do with the reason Christmas is celebrated.

As I said before, the truth remains as truth whether anyone disagrees or not.

I think the commercalism/gift giving has become a huge reason Christmas is celebrated and that's a truth.

Really, I never knew Schroeder had a sexual identity crisis. Could you please elaborate?
I mean, just because Lucy swooned over him and he had no interest in her, is hardly a sexual identity crisis. Any smart man would avoid her advances if he knew what was good for him.

Maybe supermom is mixing up Schroeder with Peppermint Patty and her girlfriend who always called her "Sir"?

The term is "life partner".

I am pretty sure that the Peanut author dude (didn't he just pass recently?) was one of the first american public authors with an agenda pro LGBT. I could be wrong.

Either that or he was constantly in a "state" --induced by LSD--or something

Cause that was a a very funky show.

Seems like the only ones who seemed to understand the show were in the young "1960's" crowd.

yup----I also think that the dog was actually a recreation from something other than a family dog. Possibly a mouse or a guinea pig.

I meant "girlfriend" as in her female sidekick on the cartoon series. I just couldn't remember the name at the time (It's Marcie).

Come to think about it:

I Love Lucy, may have been the first Television show that introduced the LGBT lifestyle in America.

Either that or that one show---aawww-crud what was it called? The two cops in the tiny little town and one had a kid, the other was single and couldn't ever do anything right? (especially dating).... hmmm-ok maybe not.

But no way you can't say you hadn't ever wondered about that older boy on "leave it to beaver".....

Supermom,

I did some googling and I don't find any links between Charles Schulz and the LGBT.
I also don't believe he was a follower of Timothy O'Leary.

I was going to say more, but I'll stop at that.

Well, back then, from what I understand--they had closets instead of anonymous GOOGLE sites........
