Palango, don't go, I just found this on the news.....!

Jared Loughner, Alleged Shooter in Gabrielle Giffords Attack, Described by Classmate as "Left-Wing Pothead"

http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/valleyfever/2011/01/jared_loughner_alleged_shooter.php#

A classmate of the man accused of shooting Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords this morning describes him as "left wing" and a "pot head" in a series of posts on Twitter this afternoon.
Caitie Parker did not immediately respond to our request for an interview, but her "tweets" in the hours after the shooting paint a picture of Jared Loughner as a substance-abusing loner who had met Giffords before the shooting. She says, Loughner described the congresswoman as "stupid and unintelligent."
We've confirmed that Parker and Loughner went to school together at Mountain View High School in Tucson and that both attended Pima Community College, so her claims of knowing Loughner seem to be legit.
Parker "tweets" that she and Loughner were in the band together and were friends until 2007 when he became "reclusive" after getting alcohol poisoning and dropping out of college.
She describes him as "quite liberal" and as a "political radical."

If the kids name was Mohammed, he would have been called a Terrorist within the first 30 seconds!!!

Um...no. This administration has its head in the sand when it comes to terrorist acts...They still don't call the Fort Hood massacre a terrorist act. Known follower of radical Islam Nidal Malik Hasan has yet to be labeled a terrorist. Despite Sen. Lieberman calling the attack, "the most destructive terrorist attack on America since September 11, 2001," the US military and current administration couldn't run from the T word fat enough...

Lt. Gen. Robert W. Cone, commander of III Corps at Fort Hood, said that...preliminary evidence did not suggest that the shooting was terrorism
A spokesman for the Defense Department called the shooting an "isolated and tragic case"
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano stated "This was an individual who does not, obviously, represent the Muslim faith."
He is not being prosecuted for terrorism despite ties to Anwar al-Awlaki and his shouting allahu akbar as he opened fire. He is being tried only on premeditated murder charges.
So stop your crying about white Beck lovers (which the Arizona shooter was not) getting all the breaks...this country bends itself over backwards in the name of political correctness. You are the one making invalid assumptions as to his motives and affiliations and building a case on NOTHING. Not to mention slandering many good people whose beliefs fall more closely to Palin's or Becks. Perhaps a break is a good idea.

"The best thing I have read on this thus far is....Why is BillZ and MaxineR (the super steroid trigger happy anti Obama and tea party loving patriots) and all the Palin/Beck soooo silent."

I have been shocked, not only by this killer's disregard for innocent lives, but by the raving of people, too over emotional, to see they are being irrational. Too much like the killer, for my comfort.

To blame talk show hosts, (whom they have not listened to), the Tea Party and all of the conservatives, is so far from being rational, it's laughable. Talk about flipping out! One would think we have NEVER had a politician shot by some nut case, in this country before!!!!

If anything, this proves to me that too many are on the verge of losing it, and should take a breath and a break from posting here. Too many times their postings have been insulting and attacking. Yet, they have been receiving mostly civil and respectful replies...only to respond with more insults, accusations and racial slurs. I say, stay away! They add little to the topic when they resort to name calling and racial slurs in their posts.

So much anger, they have, that they are accusing some of us of "being silent" (me being one accused) when the fact is, I have a full life that does not permit me to be on this board as much as others are. So, I am being silent? I posted what I felt from the start, and that is not enough? The truth is, I refused to get caught up in the childish dialog that was taking place, and that angered a poster because he didn't have the audience he wanted. I've been reading the posts, as I get time, but saw the back and forth dialog a waste of time, so didn't bother to post further.
AND, the poster causing all the commotion, I have on "Block" mode and have had him on "Block Mode" for a long time. I only know of his comment because it is in quotes in a reply.

I'd like to state right now, that I'm more sure of the feelings I have about the Democrats and Liberal Left than I've EVER been, BECAUSE of the way so many have reacted to this tragic occurrence, here and on the media. Too many, in the lime light, have missed the opportunity to show the world their reasonable side, and gone off the deep end in pointing fingers at people who have done nothing in the way of the so called "Hate Speech" they have been accused of.

For example....Glen Beck. I have seen his show many times, and if anything, the man is the personification of Christian love. He has not ever talked of hating others or anything of the kind. He sometimes has been so engrossed in giving the audience a history lesson, he diverts from more current events that I want to hear. But he is not a "Hater", as some have said. That statement from them only shows their ignorance of him.

I would have to turn the person off, I was watching or listening to, if they started talking in a hateful way. Just as I have blocked the posts of the few here, that want to rant, rave and call others names. If I can not have an intelligent dialog with a poster, I'm not interested in what they have to say. And, I'm not going to apologize for that.

I have read enough, from some posters here, to know that one CAN NOT have a decent dialog with them. So, I don't even try anymore. It's NOT that I disagree with them, as much as I find them disagreeable.

Your posts could be called attacking in some cases. You seem to complain a lot about other posters on here (and yes I know you block me, which is 'laughable' in itself). Maybe you need yo take a bit of a breath as well, a you seem to be very sensitive at times..

This also qualifies as an act off terrorism. Jared Lee Loughner (the suspect) should be afforded the same justice to any Al Qaeda terrorist.

I am going to withhold total judgement for now, but I smell the fowl stench of Palin and team party sympathizer who listened too much to foxnews and "obamacare"/birther BS. No wonder why there are over 45 MILLION Americans with only a fourth grade education that can be absolutely brainwashed into anything. If I am right in my guess, then it would be interesting to see what the foxnews pundits and all the "outrage" that will come from the GOP/tea party side.

Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, said the attack was committed by a "wicked person who has no sense of justice or compassion."
Whoever did this, whatever their reason, they are a disgrace to Arizona, this country and the human race, and they deserve and will receive the contempt of all decent people and the strongest punishment of the law," he said.

Why don't these politicians just man up and call it for what it is... TERRORISM!!!!!!

"

Help me understand how this is an act of terrorism?
We all dream of a world of sunshine and rainbows and peace. The problem is some people think this would be a great place to live, while others think it would be a great place to pillage.
