Kurt,

Welcome to the league! I just sent the invite, feel free to forward it to your friend.

I changed the live online draft to Sunday, 9/4 at 11am. Will this work for everyone involved?

Matt,

That draft date and time works great, but I never received the league invite. Could you send it to: kurtzimmer@yahoo.com once received, my buddy and I will join promptly.

Thanks,

Kurt

I keep giving you different email addresses because it doesn't seem like you know how to send out a freakin invite. The first email address I gave you on Thursday was my work, if you did send an email it must have been after 5PM and I had Friday off....so I gave you my family email address and again, never received an invite. So as a last resort I gave you my personal email address and again, no invite. If you can't even figure out how to send an invite, and freak out because I happen to give you a few email addresses then just forget it...it's not worth the trouble. Before you attempt to Commish-up and run a league, you might want to learn how to send out an invite and communicate to the league members in a positive manner.

The invite was sent to the first two emails I provided. I'm aware of how to do this. I did not send it to the third because if we're already having an issue getting the invite to you, sounds like a seasonal red flag. Perhaps you should look in to why you're not receiving emails from Yahoo Fantasy Sports. It's not on my end.

Matt,

Sorry for the confusion, I found the 2nd email in my SPAM and joined the league. I sent the league info to my buddy, and he will attempt to join the league. However in the case the invite has to come from the commish due to the link provided, you can send it to jerrythom23@yahoo.com

Me and my buddy are in, the only glaring suggesting that I would make is beginning the playoffs a week earlier. You have the Fantasy Superbowl happening NFL week 17, and many starters are benched this week in the NFL, therefore most other fantasy leagues use week 16 as their superbowl week and end the regular season after week 13.

ALL PLEASE READ!

1. Kurt - no hard feelings; glad you're in and ready to play.

2. Our league playoffs are now set for Weeks 14-16. It looks like we'll have a 12 team league. 6 teams will make the playoffs--2 division winners and the next 4 teams will seed based on standings.

3. THE LIVE ONLINE DRAFT IS SET FOR SUNDAY 9/4 AT 11AM. PLEASE BE SURE YOU CAN MAKE THIS DRAFT. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NO TECHNICAL ISSUES KEEPING YOU FROM DRAFTING. HAVE A PLAN, THEN HAVE A BACK-UP PLAN! The draft room opens at 10:30am and you will be able to enter, see the draft order and arrange your queue ahead of time. YOU WILL HAVE 1 MINUTE and 15 SECONDS to make you pick--but we can move the draft along if we're all queueing players and preparing for our next selection.

4. QUESTION: This league's scoring is set as Yahoo's default. Mostly yards and TDs. PPR Leagues (POINTS PER RECEPTION) are also popular, where your players (WR/RB/TE) receive a point per reception in addition to points by yards and TDs. Would you guys like this league to be a PPR league?

I think a PPR is too much, but I would favor a 1 pt for every 4 receptions.

Matt,

Sounds great, and I will be fully ready for the draft. I think a PPR would be great, in my other leagues .50 (half point) per reception and it seems to work very well. Now that we have expanded to 12 teams, you may want to take out one of the W/R from the starting lineup. As things stand, we will be drafting over 200 players and have starting lineups of 10....that leaves things pretty thin as far as the free agent wire is concerned.

Hey, if anyone of you guys enjoy sports trivia, come down to Buffalo Wild Wings tonight on East Bidwell.....every Monday night at 6PM they have a live online Fox Sports Trivia night...it last about an hour and starts promptly at 6 PM so you will want to be there by 5:45 or so. This might be a good way for our group to get to know each other. Hope to see you there.
