That wasn't the question - Darth wanted to know of a modern doughnut shop. Krispy Kreme was modern...super sugary, diabetes inducing doughnut shop. Was, closed. Prolly like all these fancy cupcake places will be soon. Seems the plain old rickety places like the donut shop next to Raley's are the ones with legs.

I know the cinnamon buns are supposed to be their specialty, but I really like the apple fritters at this place. Very friendly service, too.

I'd managed to give up donuts until my mom came up several weeks ago and wanted to stop somewhere for coffee. With our timing as it was, we were driving right by this place and decided to stop for coffee. She picked up a dozen donuts for my kids and I buckled (I can turn down donuts, but a good apple fritter...oye).
Not only do they have fantastic donuts, their service is amazing. GREAT customer service. The couple who run the place are incredibly personable and friendly. My daughter loves their coffee drinks and I think their apple fritters are probably the best I've had.
Overall a great place that I've now been back to two more times!

I tried this place. The donuts had a chemical aftertaste. I prefer the donut store next to raleys or the one next to chipotle.

I disagree, the donuts at the place by raley's taste terrible compared to BJ Cinnamons

BJ's also has great ham, egg & cheese croissants if you like breakfast sandwiches. The one I got the other day was so big I cut it in half and got two breakfasts out of it. Not diet food, but I just have to jog a little further on those days.
