Really happy to see these comments. Folsom Palace does indeed go the extra mile to make everything right. This is a great new addition to Folsom.

I was there this week for dinner. They really went out of their way to serve our group, even cooking off menu items. Really super nice people. They were really busy. I'm glad they are doing well. However, I did not care for the flavor of the food, either too bland, or too sweet...and coated in a batter. I'm glad they don't use MSG, but the sauce base did not agree with my taste buds & new clean way of eating. I could've asked them to sauté my choices, but since it was my first time, I wanted to see what they did. I can sauté my own food at home.

You all go ahead and enjoy. :D:

I had another great experience at Folsom Palace with a group of friends. I finally got to try the salt and pepper fish and it was fantastic. A friend had the walnut prawns and said it was the best she's ever had. Everyone was impressed with the welcoming and friendly staff, the service, and the food quality. :) Thank you Bill, Jenny, and Ken.

We've dined in and have done take-out a few times since I last posted and am thrilled to see this restaurant doing so well. Soup has to be darned good for me to crave it when it's hot outside. MMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm Wor Won Ton. I had a chance to try braised tofu in a clay pot, chow fun, and twice cooked pork -- all excellent.

Finally had the opportunity to dine at Folsom Palace and was very impressed! I went there for lunch today with a friend...she had Honey Walnut Prawns and I had Lemon Chicken. They were both excellent...we thought we were going to be too full after the yummy Egg Drop Soup and salad but we managed to eat it all but some rice! I loved that they served it all 'family' style so sharing was easy. The service was fabulous! We met the owners at the end of our meal who were very anxious to ask how we enjoyed the food, extremely gracious and welcoming. I have to say I could eat Asian food every day of the week...in fact my husband and I drive to South Sac every other weekend for Dim Sum...so suffice to say I am picky about Chinese cuisine! This is the best Chinese restaurant to hit the area since Jennie's Palace closed...still miss her but am very excited to go back to Folsom Palace soon to try new dishes! Thanks Folsom Forum for recommending this great restaurant!!!

I haven't been here yet, although I'd like too. Is this the type of place you could take out of town customers/clients to? (My husband is an Intel guy that takes people out to dinners occasionally, and he's really tired of steakhouses)

It's the perfect place to take out of town guests. It's one of the few restaurants in Folsom that is not only really good but also has a nice touch of class.

I'd recommend you go soon; you won't be sorry. And yes, you can take guests. Not only is the food scrumptious and the menu huge, but the restaurant is decorated very nicely, has linen tablecloths, and they play classical music. Unlike many Chinese restaurants, Folsom Palace also serves coffee and dessert, so if your husband and his guests want to relax a little after their meal they can stay and enjoy those items. Oh, and they serve beer and wine.

NOTE: If you (or your husband's guests) don't like very spicy food, be sure to specify mild on items that have the little pepper icon in front of them.

and it's priced right. I've been twice in the last week. Love it and is now my favorite Asian restaurant. Better than Fats. The article in Sunday Bee was spot on, especially describing the sauces and the wonderful fresh ingredients they use in all their dishes. Plus not noisy and they have outdoor patio seating, which on a nice early evening might be a perfect dining spot. Now about those big flat screen TV's in the bar and facing the patio dining areas...

Went last night and it was super busy and likely due to the Sac Bee article. We planned to go Sat night but postponed it to Sunday and i saw the review and thought it could be busy Sunday night and it was. They had 2 tables outside and 1 inside open.

As to Mrs TuffPaws going there with guests (either personal or business), the answer is YES. And it won't bang up the expense report either.

Had take out last night, it was very tasty.
Green beans w/ tofu and Walnut shrimp.
Even with a coupon it was a little pricey, approx $28, so we won't be going very often.

We have made a tradition out of doing take-out from Folsom Palace every Friday night. It's a great way to end the week and we look forward to consistently delicious food and awesome service. The past month has been difficult for us, with our daughter in and out of the hospital with preeclampsia and our son's injuries from his bicycle accident. We've done take-out more often than usual as I just haven't been home to cook. As my son's injuries started to heal and he could start to chew soft foods we could always find something delicious at Folsom Palace to give him a break from yogurt, scrambled eggs, and applesauce. At one point he thought he could try orange chicken; Jenny knew it would be too chewy and sent him wonton soup and another dish instead -- and then refused to take any money.

Bill and Jenny have established a great following and we remain huge fans. If you haven't tried Folsom Palace yet, I encourage you to give them a try. The food is great, the portions are large, and the service is personal and friendly.

I'm not surprised at Jenny's gesture, they are very sweet people. We have not been in there for a few weeks but I love Folsom Palace...your comments are bang on!
Hope your kids are both doing better soon Deb!
