Just got a security alert at 12:09 am when I tried to log onto the forums. Stupid Norton doesn't incorporate a copy ability into their security report, but it basically said,
An intrusion attempt by 208.64.62.22, 80 was blocked. Network traffic from 208.64.62.222 matches the signature of a known attack.
The attack was resulted from (grammar?) /device/harddiskvolumne1/program files/mozilla firefox/firefox.exe/
Haven't seen the message any other times I tried logging in or on any other sites. Figured you would want to know.

I got the same warning last Saturday, so decided to not log onto this site Sunday.

Yesterday and today there was no warning, but when I post, there is text and numbers included, that I do not write. I notified John about it.

I know John is working hard to get everything right, and I appreciate it.

John, thanks for all your hard work.

It doesn't go to the un-read posts. It just goes back to the beginning each time. I don't want to have to ford through all the stuff I've already read to find the new posts. Can we go back to the way it was? :(

I believe John said this is on his list to add back to the site. It looks like he needs to add "&view=getnewpost" to the link opening the topic.

If any of you are still having issues on Internet Explorer, try refreshing your temporary Internet files.

Just an observation. I think the area where the name of the latest poster and the time of the post needs reorganizing. I find myself clicking on the name frequently by mistake. Perhaps the last post on top instead of the bottom? Or maybe in bold? I really don't care much who the last poster is. Minor quibble, I'm sure you're working on the big stuff.

Funny, I've been doing exactly the same thing.

A lot of features people ask for I won't be able to implement. Some may be available through a "hook" (which is like a plugin), but I am growing wary of this as spammers are finding loopholes in the code of these hooks. Keep asking though, sometimes it's just a feature I haven't turned on in a control panel.

Is there a way to mark a topic as read (get it off the New Contents list) without opening or previewing it?

I'm old so I hate stuff that's new. :lmaosmiley: I suppose I will get used to it. I did figure out how to get the avatars but had to drag and drop.
