Just out of curiosity, what's the cost difference between a shake & comp roof? During the housing bust, and all the flips & repos I have seen a fair amount of homes here in Folsom replace shake roofs with a new shake roof.
I can't imagine for the life of me why someone would opt for that, when the cost difference to replace with a comp roof couldn't be that much of a spread.
