This idiot has never gained the respect of the 65 million people who voted for Hillary.

He has lost the respect of half of the people who voted for him.
He has lost respect of other nations in the world.

Uncle Vinny, if you voted for Hillary I don't think Trump really cares, neither do I. It just tells me you voted for the worst of two bad candidates.  And how could you vote for and offer respect to a woman who continually let her husband cheat on her and tried to destroy any woman who accused him rape or sexual misconduct....?   Of which there were many.   We've already had a misogynist in the White House and his name was Bill Clinton.

 

And you have no evidence that he has lost the respect of half of the people who voted for him.  You just pulled that one out of a Unicorns rear end..........  Still does not make it true no matter how hard you wish for it or how much glitter or fairy dust you sprinkle on it......

 

And I think the other nations of the world, the ones that oppose us, are worried now because the US President is not a wimp anymore, will not be pushed around, taken for a fool, taken advantage of, not a wet behind the ears community organizer who never ran a business, never met a payroll, or was never shot at in anger on the battlefield. 

 

And you leftists deemed him a loser since before the day he beat you all at your own sick political game...!  You still can't grasp that yet, still eating at your guts.  How could we have lost you say to yourself...?   We, the liberal elite, the educated and enlightened ones, the non racists, the tolerant and accepting ones, the ones who know what is best for all citizens of the country whether they know it or not, like it or not....?  How could people be so stupid to vote for Trump....?   Until you accept the fact that Obama was a failed President, that he diminished America at home and abroad, that he stagnated our economy for 8 years, that he ruined our healthcare system, that he set back race relations in this country by 20 years, that he presided over democrats losing over 1000 seats in congress and state governments, and that the democrats ran probably the worst candidate, the most corrupt, the most unlikable candidate you could have chosen to run....!

Yes, Trump beat the Republican party, the democratic party, and the MSM......!   That is not a "loser," that is a "WINNER",  and that is just amazing....!   The Republicans were smart and adjusted to this man and his way of doing things, the democrats just doubled down on their divisive, dirty, and nasty way of politicking, and the MSM still does not know what hit them and how to handle it.  They are still in the denial stage and I am loving every day of it....!   Chris

Yep.  I also think that most Trump voters, while happy, are now getting back to their non-political lives, whereas the MSM reporters and assorted other politics enthusiasts are trapped in their world of daily "news" that needs feeding.

Trails, I am thinking Rich is just like the rest of us on the other side who held our noses and voted Trump over the spiteful, vindictive, corrupt, unlikable, ineffective, evil candidate the democrats foisted upon us.......!   Not willing to spend a few hours a day for the next 4 or 8 years debating you guys, correcting your posts, adding all the pertinent facts to supplement the fake news, the half truths of CNN, msnbc, ABC, CBS, npr, etc. that you guys so wholeheartedly embrace, and repeat over and over again..... Relax, chill out, see what Trump brings in the next 18 months.  If he's a turd then I will be the first to say that you were right.   If you guys, you, and your progressive socialist allies destroy him, our country, anything he tries to do, against the will of the people, the 30 of 50 states who put him there, then I will call you out and vote against you every time.   Relax, give it a rest, see what happens in the next 18 months........   You will save us all a lot of time and typing..........   Been only two days, give it a chance.  Chris

I agree about the advice, to relent and see what actually happens. 

 

The other side will always "win" in internet chat groups:  either Trump does what he promised, and they hate him for it and call people names, or else he doesn't do much of anything, in which case they'll laugh at how didn't keep his promises (the ones they don't want him to keep), and still call people names.  The other side will always find a way to "win" arguments, as far as they know, but in truth it's not worth the effort to spend days, weeks, months, and years trying to refute their over-the-top statements.

 

As for my holding my nose... no, I didn't.   I soon recognized that Trump stood for everything I wanted for our or any nation:   a reprioritization of citizen interests in economic matters, and a sane border and immigration policy.  The fact that he took media insults and gave it right back to them was a bonus.  I don't need a hero, but Trump's agenda and attitude made him the first presidential candidate I could get behind since I don't know when.  I didn't hold my nose at all, since I recognized that the complaints about his "bullying" were being made by the same media that was actually bullying him all along, ever since the words "the wall" were uttered.

For Rich's benefit I was a Ted Cruz man. A REAL conservative and a decent human being. Trumpolini is neither. Trump lost any chance with me when he claimed that he has never had a reason to ask God for forgiveness. Calling John McCain a guy who got caught and no war hero, he with five, count them five deferments was the cherry on top.
Since then he's proven in my eyes at least to be an unhinged lunatic. You know boys, I'll tell you the difference between us, I went on the character of the man which I believe is of the utmost importance in a president. You guys went on your hatred of Hillary and Obama. Noses held or not, I feel I put my country first and think you did not. I would have held my nose on Hillary and you would put us in harms way with this psychopath. So enough please about the reasons why you won't debate. And Chris, kindly stop saying to give him a chance, the answer is no,never! He has no mandate and he gets no honeymoon. That's all on him.
Sorry for the rant but I have to keep it real.
BTW, Rich passes the smell test imo and would be a welcome addition to these discussions. As said I don't blame you if you disappear but the reasons you will if so are what I just wrote. Hopefully you will drop in from time to time. I would welcome a rational discussion with you or anyone but so far NOBODY will even attempt to defend this clown or at least admit he was wrong to do this or that. Cruz failed by not caring about Trump's main topics, which were obviously the ones that won the election.  McCain called Trump's followers crazy, upon which Trump called his bluff about his "war hero" fiction.  I can live with that.  McCain has always been an impediment to progress.  Trump makes a lot of sense, and the real lunatics are those who go absolutely bonkers when he says anything at all, including his pro-American inaugural speech.

 

I'll see about dropping in from time to time, so thanks for the invitation.  Don't bet on it, though.  There's really no need for a Trump supporter to dwell on the people trying to stop his agenda.  But I do like your softer side that comes out now and again.
