We went to Manderes for the first time on Saturday night around 9:00.
I was wondering if any of you were there as well.

My husband said his burger was fantastic--a 10++++ Loved that Ciabatta roll!!
He really liked his first beer--the second one not so much--but that's what happens when you're trying new things-it's the only way you're going to find out what you like and don't like. Of course at $5.50 for a beer you don't like, it seems kind of a waste, but that's just the way it is. I don't remember seeing a sampler.

It might not be on the menu, but you can ask for a taste of a beer. They pour like a shot glass full for you to try something new. At least, they did for me when my choice was out, and I was going to try something else. It's not quite the same as a sampler set, but it's close.

They still do that for any beer on tap. Just ask for a sample.

I don't think $5.50 is that bad for a beer, my latest obsession is this... $15 per bottle.

More information please? Couldn't read the label that well. Is it an ale? How big is the bottle? $15 is a lot for a bottle but I would pay it for some beers. smile.gif

It's a Barley Wine from Oregon.

Correct, it's a barley wine, which is not a wine at all. It's from Deschutes Brewery in Portland and it is very, very good. Comes in a 22oz bottle and at 11% it will give you the nicest, most mellow, warm buzz ever. One of the ultimate stress relievers.

Manderes has had Mirror Mirror on tap before... I personally like the Deschutes Abyss more, but it's been a while since I have had that too.

The Lagunitas Gnarlywine is ~$4.50 at Safeway and BevMo - I have been enjoying that one lately.
