Don't think so. It looks like a McD's cheeseburger.

I concur and its the one I buy the most often (on the rare occasions when we get fast food burgers)

heheh thats exactly what it is. I like 'em, the best thing is the price.

Ideally In-n-Out is my real favorite, but its a longer drive and they cost more

best place of course is home made

Hahah I just posted that to you..... I do really like in-n-out best, but its a longer drive and I can get almost the same at McD's for half the price. It's not as good but its decent for the dinero

Honestly though, we don't get fast food very often, but on the rare occasion when we do.. I like to head over to McD's or Jack-in-the-box for their proximity and price (definitely not for taste)

Making burgers at home with some fresh lean ground chuck with a slice of cheddar on a fresh baked bun is the absolute best

Folsom JiB is unworthy of Jack's great reputation.

And the newer Jumbo Jack is unworthy of the name compared to the original Jumbo Jack.

Remember when they looked like this

What? They changed the Jumbo Jack?! Sacrilege! That'd be like McD's taking the 3rd bun out of a BigMac!

You didn't know?!

Back in the 70's the Jumbo Jack was bigger in diameter than it is today and it used a "special sauce", strikingly similar to Thousand Island dressing. They had a different mustard based special sauce for their regular and deluxe burgers back then. Now the Jumbo Jack is not as big around (although I think the patty is thicker) and they use an onion flavored mayonaise for the "special sauce". It really is a different burger than the original.

I used to love Carls Jr, even worked there when I was a lad, but I don't like their food now, the burgers always taste dried out to me and their commercials make men look retarded

We need another tasting next week and propose Tahoe Joes because mylo and davburr didnt attend (but Carnivore, DarthLefty, Bill Z and I think Stangage were there).

Oh and this isnt to replace Conf Rm M that Bill Z has scheduled Friday. That is almost a mandatory all hands on deck meeting to kick start a 3 day holiday weekend!

So fellow burger tasters (those that have attended or anyone who wants to join), what day works for burger tasting?

OK, I didn't see anything get finalized for today. I wouldn't have been able to make it anyway. but circumstances have changed, and I am taking monday, Sept 14 off from work, for some personal things I need to take care of.

But that does have me in folsom, free for lunch, so do we want to meet for a burger tasting event?

I'm open for Tahoe Joe's or anywhere that makes a good burger.
I would rather be Backpacking
