"baaaaaaaa", says the sheep........
If Bush/Cheney win:
Iraq will see unprecedented casualties on both sides, because the "hot spots" will be re-invaded, but with no incentive to be accountable to the american public. There will be increasing anti-war sentiment as more and more families become victims, losing their children to a war being fought on false pretenses.
The abortion issue: Renquist doesn't look too good, though it's not as though he would have voted pro-choice. It's just that, if Renquist is gone, GWB would get to appoint an ultra conservative judge, whose influence may sway the issue.
The Job situation will get increasingly worse as more college level jobs are exported overseas. Even now, temp jobs are hard to get. This trend will increase as overall morale drops due to worsening economy, deepening involvement in the gulf, and increasing oil prices.
Medical coverage: if you think prescription plans from the like of pfizer is considered a good health plan, then we'll see more of the same "improvements." I'd say at least another 5 million will lose their coverage.
Increased isolationism, increased unilateralism, more Federal debt, more hostility towards the US, more lies from el Dictator, increased gap between the rich and the poor, the complete bankruptcy of all social services, increased freedom for huge corporations to rape our environment... shall i continue?

Corruption will reach an all time high. As long as Bush is in office, the Halliburton/Enron type issues will remain buried. If Kerry takes office, he'll root that crap out.

My apologies again. The political stuff is creeping into everything and there's no need to spread it to this already rambling thread.
Now back to your regularly scheduled thread:
Porn Bad!
Porn Good!
No porn in Ms Teaz so... Good/Bad!

No one objects to someone buying a gun and going on a killing spree? People think opening a lingerie shop is a greater threat to the public than someone buying a gun and going on a killing spree? What thread have you been reading that causes you to see that "logic"?
Assuming you meant that the availability of guns is objectionable, not the killing spree, you don't know what people on this forum believe on that subject. They are two separate issues, and ridiculously broad generalizations like this do little to advance one argument or the other.

I for one, do object to the easy availability of guns in our culture. Having spent some time in Great Britain and Europe, I would much prefer the nearly gun-less, less violent societies one sees there.
This goes back to a point made earlier (Forumreader, I believe?) that just because there are other bad things in our society that may be as bad or worse than a sex shop, that doesn't mean you have to be silent about the sex shop.
Welcome to myfolsom, JPine. Feel free to start a discussion on the gun issue (or whatever else particularly interests you), if you wish.

Just because a person purchases a gun does not mean they are going on a killing spree.
I would think that around 99 percent of people that purchase guns legally do not use them to kill others. It is a small percentage of people that buy or steal guns that do the killing.

Guns save lives.
When someone does go on a killing spree (which they will, gun laws or not), I will be thankful if a good, private citizen nearby has a gun to save my life.
PS This conversation has officially derailed.
