QUESTION: Does this remind you of Hitler's jack-booted Nazi storm troopers in 1939?

Will they be 'guarded' by Navy Seals with black masks on?

Another fine "accomplisment" of pResident Trump. U.S. military may house immigrant children as Trump policy beset by confusion

https://www.reuters....SKBN1JH1W6?il=0

The U.S. military has been asked to get ready to house up to 20,000 immigrant children, officials said on Thursday, as President Donald Trump’s efforts to roll back a widely condemned policy of separating children from their parents were beset by confusion.

Video footage of children sitting in cages and an audiotape of wailing children sparked worldwide anger.

Time Magazine is ridiculed over false child separation report.  Story below.  This is another HUGE Trump success, as it bolsters and underscores Trump's contention that the vast majority (90%) of "news" put out by the MSM is *FAKE NEWS*, solely designed to hurt Trump!!  I love it when the media gets slapped down!  The hits just keep comin' !!   :cheer:

Nazi's?  Read this short article below and tell me who the Nazi's are.  You Libs are sick people... but too dumb to recognize it.  How did you Libs get so whacked out that you want people to lose their jobs and careers just because they didn't support YOUR corrupt candidate? What kind of hateful mental illness is that? Please explain.

Uncle Vino- it sounds like you are pretty well settled in what you think and believe. Other than using this forum to express your hate for Trump, I see no useful purpose in your posting here. You won't change anybodies mind on what they believe or how they intend to vote. If you are retired, I suggest you spend your remaining years helping the poor with volunteer work. Volunteers are always needed and you can feel more useful.

Clearly, we are both dissatisfied with past presidents and wish for better. I voted for Trump because I was tired of the same old party lies and knew things wouldn't change if I voted for a career politician. And, more importantly, I wanted to shake things up and show other politicians Americans met business about change. Yes, we are at a cross roads and each side is determined to get what change they think is right.

This game won't end in our lifetime. We all have our ideals of what is right, but only what is possible will ever win out. And with presidents making promises they can't keep, (think of Obama Care) voters get a bad taste in their mouths that doesn't go away.

Socialism has never worked in any country it was established in...look it up. Most educated Americans know this as they have observed other countries struggle to make it work.

I hope you get and read the book I recommended. The world should be doing better than it is and those very rich people you hate, just as I do, are the reason because they are running things behind closed doors. They own most of the news media and slant the news to benefit their goals. If we all don't pull together, they just might enslave us all one day and it won't be a pretty life for anyone but them.

I know you are a 'New Age Believer'. I've been down that path as well. I've read many books on spiritual ideals and have learned a lot. But when it comes to living down here on earth, it's a different matter.

The most profound book I've ever read is, 'A New Earth' by Eckhart Tolle.  You might enjoy it as well.

Joe, I'm not sure he recognizes many truths.. I hope he does, but it's not likely. The evidence is in. Totally indoctrinated. I hope he recovers, but my prognosis is not positive, based on his posts here. Very hateful and erratic.

Tio Vinny, still so upset, you got your way..  Why so upset still...?   Plus, when you compare us to Nazis I know we are winning, and HUGELY.....!   Enjoy the heat, have a cold beer or two and relax.....   Read some metaphysical stuff and get centered again.   Chris

Rose - your post is thoughtful and well articulated.  Thank you.

In my opinion, one of the fundamental problems with the current administration is the unorthodox style of it all.  In our history, when times got tough, someone rose to provide inspirational leadership.  Lincoln during the civil war.  Roosevelt during the depression.  And looking across the ocean, Churchill during WWII.

It's ok to upset the apple cart.  I think most would agree that we need it to be upset in a number of places these days.  But people would far prefer that the guy doing the upsetting retain some level of traditional leadership qualities that helped make this country great.  You can upset the apple cart, but still do it with a degree of decorum, statesmanship, and decency.  Trump has no sense for any of these qualities.  He's literally like the bull in a china shop.  It's what's making much of the trouble he stirs up worthy of frenetic criticism.

I have a little "test" I use sometimes to gauge how people view the president.  I ask them if they would like their child to grow up and be like Trump.  No one has answered in the affirmative, even the hard core Trumpsters I've asked.

Good one, Rose.

Amazingly I agree with just about all you said.

Yes, no minds are changed here on the forum. (And I've been here > a year.)

We are mostly engaged in trying to prove our side is right.

The only disagreement is "The game won't end in our lifetime."
I'm not so sure of that. There is a huge improvement in social consciousness (on both side) that just may bring

the current paradigm to a close. The Bible-bangers call it The Rapture. The New-Agers call it the Non-Dualism.
Yes, Familiar with Tolle. Read most of his stuff. My current study is into non-dualism which postulates that

the entire material world is an illusion, like we live in a Lego World where our minds can build anything we please.

The great spiritual masters claim we are not bodies at all, that we are spirits, and therefore have some

level of divinity, but trapped by the ego in this dog-eat-dog world. The only solution: forgiveness

of the ILLUSION of the crimes we see.

If that's the case then dogging folks like trolls on this forum in counter-productive.

SOME of the books on my shelf. I don't show the religious ones as they are probably controversial.

Mmm! No dancing bananas! I just might be slipping!

...and then there's LittleVinnie.. he preaches decency and civility, and to "love your fellow man", but on this board he has said the most vile and vicious things about Trump and his family. Seems to me that LittleVinnie needs to get his act together before he starts to lecture us. I hate hypocrites.. especially psychotic ones.

Thank you for your kind reply. I recently took a couple of days off from this forum and then came back and read some of the posts, including mine. It seemed like we all were throwing whatever we could at the wall, just seeing what would stick. It also seemed no one was really reading what the other had to say. In order to understand each other, that has to stop. And so does the knee jerk reaction to every single thing that comes across the news.

I can't be part of this forum as it is currently going. I need to feel there is more meaning, when I'm taking time to post. I can throw some pretty good insults, but that just makes those I'm trying to reach become more defensive. So I'm coming at this from another angle now.

Anger is a natural emotion and I've had my share of it. But I find it clouds my reason and makes it hard to really see what is happening.

I understand people being put off by Trump.  I was too, at first. He is raw, to be sure, but I think under that tough veneer is a kind hearted man. Now I can almost feel you bock at that idea, but maybe you haven't been around these kind of people before. Trump is out of his element being president. He is winging it for sure. But one thing that has impressed me is that he does listen to the people of America. And he very much listens to his family. His wife and daughter were the ones who told him to take another look at the immigrant children being separated from their families. He could have decided he was doing best, but he listened and he made a change. Why? Because it touched his heart. He does believe in God and he does want to be a good president. For these reasons, I am willing to give him a chance.

Working together, we can make a difference in the world. But it will take a lot more than belittling and name calling. I think it will take a people more interested in making that difference than being ego driven and filled with rage. People may disagree about how to solve problems, but If people leave their egos at the door and work together, we may just be able to change the world.

One thing is for sure...insults and name calling won't accomplish a thing but more hatred.

All good reading there Tio Vinny but only one real science book, the "Geology" one and maybe that one on the "Modocs" which fascinates me also.......   The rest is just metaphysical, feel good fluff, which is fun of course but you have to have the core science and classic literature first before you can really understand and enjoy the other stuff.....  Maybe they are on the other shelf in the other room or you read them long ago and gave them away, which I have done so many times...?   And I do like the Alien stuff but you gotta take that with a grain of salt...........   I did see one once......A saucer....  Around 1967 or so....    But that is another story for another day....   Chris

Good thoughtful words, Rose. This anti-Trump rage and vitriol has to stop. We gave Obama a chance, until he lied to everyone about ObamaCare. But the hate-Trump crap has to stop. Funny how the haters CAN'T FIND ONE THING to give Trump credit for. That fact alone proves that they are simply haters. Pretty childish, and they know it!

Uncle Vinny....Intelligent people try to find the answers to life's riddles. Sometimes we only come up with more questions. I try not to make my mind up about anything, if I still have questions. My brother is very much a Christian and believes, like you, that the end of the world is near. Remember back when the book, 'The Mayan Prophecies' came out? If you read that you'll know that it's prediction of the earth coming to an end in 2012 didn't happen. Recently a book wrote by another predicted the end of the world and was wrong as well.

Can't think of his name of the top of my head, but he was a minister.

I like to live in the here and now. It's hard to do, but worth the effort. I've been an armchair investigator for about fifty years now. And there's not too much I haven't read about concerning how we come to be here and the many mysteries of our planet. And I keep reading. I think I have about one hundred books in my personal library.....and read about fifty on my Kindle.  So many books, so little time!

The one book I read and had trouble with is, 'A Course in Miracles'. That book is written in a very particular and strange way. How did you like it? I couldn't seem to finish it; something else on the book store shelf always tore me away. And I see you have one of Jim Marrs books. He is/was one of my favorite authors. Sadly, he passed away recently. Many will sorely miss him and I hope he inspires another author to write in his place. That would be a ghost writer!  LOL!

I hope we can converse in a more friendly fashion, from here on. I'd at least like to try.
