China Buffet

Snow crabs and sometimes lobsters. Sushi. Great potstickers. Italian ice cream. Unbelievably sticky--sticky rice.
Wanna know a secret?
The kids will choose there, over any restaurant in Folsom. Good stuff. Clean, light ambiance. Serves alcohol.
My only comlaint is that is seems a bit chilly inside everytime we have gone.
So, before you start hating on buffets--trust me--not all buffets are up to par--so as to be called a buffet.

I was there on Friday for lunch. It was busy.
This one is better than the one by Jimboys, more items to choose from and everything I had seemed fresh.
I'll go back occasionally for lunch, it seems to be a reasonable value for lunch, its close, you don't have to wait for service to order and then be served, so one can be in & out in about 45 minutes.
I'd give it a B for lunch.

Although I prefer Eastern Max Buffet in Roseville, China Buffet is local and very convenience.
This new restaurant will survive in Folsom.
My $.02
Bon Appétit!

Other than clogging up E Bidwell and making heavy people heavier how exactly is this place an asset? It's a friggin buffet that (according to you) employs illegals. Yep, they are a model of good behavior to behold! BON Voyage!

That's one step closer to getting the wife to go there. My wife doesn't like buffets because she eats like a bird and feels she doesn't get her money's worth.
I figure, she can order from the menu and my son & I can do the buffet.
We only do Chang's mongolian for lunch as it's a single pass through the line, so they let you take your leftovers home with you.

Once, when my wife talked me into going to a buffet, we saw children who could hardly see the food, they were so short, helping themselves to the buffet, and using their hands in a lot of unsanitary ways. I don't want to gross anyone out, but I'll just say "nose" and let you use your imagination.
And, why would anyone want to pay those prices if they could get just as good or better food at a restaurant?
Sure, they may have a great variety, but most of what they offer, I wouldn't eat anyway.
Each to his own! I'll pass....

Having worked in kitchens, even at classy restaurants, you could be disgusted by what can go on there. And as I do a fair amount of backpacking and camping in the woods where you don't have the cleanliness of a good kitchen, I find a little dirt doesn't bother me. If I was worried about what others touch and what germies I might contact, i wouldn't go to an ATM, push a shopping cart, or anything else in public without wearing latex gloves and always wearing a mask out in public, but fortunately, I didn't inherit my step-mom's neurosis.

Excuse me, but a little dirt is different than some strains of bacteria and viruses that could make you beg to die.
I have a couple of family members that have gotten food poisoning in the past, and you wouldn't ever want to go through what they went through. Plus, if you use a little sense when you go out into public, you can keep yourself virtually free of illnesses. Washing hands and using a wipe to wipe the shopping cart handle is not being overly cautious. I do it and I haven't been sick all year.
Yeah, even the best restaurant kitchen can be unsanitary, but most have passed the inspections they get.
I look for the little signs on the restaurants to see what status they have and also check on the web page to get information on my favorite restaurants.
It's no fun to get sick from restaurant food or bad hygiene.
