I do not want ot further derail this thread. If you truly seek answers about the Catholic faith, may I suggest the following web site. It is very informative and accurate.

http://www.catholic.com/

Why would I believe the catholic website when they still to this day hide their child molesting priests from the law. OK, so they don't kill heretics anymore, they just allow some of their priests to rape their congregations children.

And just so you don't think I'm making this up

Question, if I met you,swmr545, in public, would you annoy me?

I encountered an annoying transvestite in public once. This idiot was going on & on in a pharamacy waiting line about how he looked better than the women in the room, how he made so much more money than anyone in the room, etc. He not only was acting like a complete idiot, but was being a nuisance to everyone that was trying to paitiently wait for their number to pop up on the screen.

I've known and worked with gay people, both men & women, and the ones I worked with acted normal in public and didn't rub their differences in everyone elses face. I invited them as friends to parties at my house, because they were normal people in my book.

So to re-word my question, what kind of person are you? One I would have no idea was different than me out in public, or are you one of those that make sure everyone knows that you are not heterosexual. One that has to flaunt their difference as opposed to one that knows how to go on about their daily business as if we are all the same, just human beings.

You wouldn't know if I was or not if you didn't recgonize me from any pictures.

If you ask if I have a girlfriend, I will respond that I don't, but have been with my boyfriend for 8 months. If you expect me to talk about the gay aspect of my life, I will engage in conversation about it with you. If you want to talk to me about swimming, golf, tennis, politics, religion, movies, or food I will talk about those.

Like I've said, I am open to meeting anyone on here if they feel so compelled to do so.

While I believe that being gay is a sin against God and man, I also am grounded enough in reality to know that this kind of thing goes on in the world we live in and that I have to accept that there are some people who don't know how to live right. If being gay is your thing and you are proud of it, that is fine but please keep it to yourself and stop trying to boast proudly of it in public places. We don't need more people like you.

In my point of view, you aren't living your life right. You are proudly posting you are a Christian. Why? We don't need more people like you.

swmr,

Are we only allowed to ask you one question each?

Oh crap - I just realized I used up my one question to ask you that.

Bummer

I'm glad you put the bit in about the joke Supermom because I thought you were serious. I am happily married with a 2-yr old daughter so very normal.

Normal to who?

There are also many married persons that after years of being married they come out as being gay. What's your point?

To me, being heterosexual is abnormal.

For those of you who don't believe my experience at HS was different than yours, I have a question for you.

Would you be ok if I came to your place of work and threw a bottle at you? Threatened to kill you? Threw a rock at you? Sexually harass you? And if you reported this to the police, I send my friends to confront you about it? How about following you around? Spitting at you? Saying that you will go to hell if you don't believe the same way I do? Saying that your parents are unfit? Telling you that instead of me being disciplined for my behavior, you leave your place of work and go somewhere else?

If you are ok with me doing that let me know where you work and I will start right away.

nobody said they would be ok with it, they just said it something that happens in high school while people are still immature. high school kids are different then business professionals and if someone did that to me while i was in the office, i would not sue my employer, maybe the person who did it, but a police report would be sufficient. its not like u suffered anything from this, other then a lil bit of ur pride being wounded!

Swmr - Do you mind listing the points of the case? There has to be more than what is in the article. Also, you previously stated that you don't care about the money. What exactly do you want out of the lawsuit?

Swmr - I didn't see any answers to these questions. I am truly curious.

Thank you for replying to my question

, but I have to disagree with one of your recent recent replies. While heterosexual might not be right for you, it doesn't make it abnormal. Look around, most people and animals are hereosexual, but not all. Scientists that observe animals have witnessed homosexual animal behavior as well, and it's probably more common that most want to acknowledge, which makes it a part of what is normal behavior in our world, just a smaller percentage than heterosexual behavior.

Carl's question above is a good and rather valid question.

I have a few more kinda along the same lines as Carl's.

Would you be willing to settle this matter out of court and accept a settlement from the school?

You have stated previously that you aren't doing this for the money. If/when you do get a financial gain from this lawsuit, what do you plan on doing with the money? I'm just wondering what local charities you plan to distribute all this money?

A good point Johnny Cakes. By the way, is there some meaning to your name?

Swmr and all other posters who seem to think I am forcing my opinion on others: firstly, I am not a Christian but am God-fearing. I am not trying to make other people follow my view but am politely expressing mine. The issue for me is that my actions are vocal and shared with a small online community whereas swmr's are physical, tangible and directed at the public at large. I feel sorry for him that his school life was so difficult and what he was subjected to was not right. However, if his attitude and behavior was as flagrant as it appears to be here, should he be surprised that he was singled out when he is so different to everyone else? AND I AM NOT SAYING THAT THE TREATMENT HE RECEIVED WAS RIGHT If you are male and walk around wearing a pink boa, screaming out that you are gay, don't be surprised if you stand out from the crowd.

And swmr, your sig is not that much shorter than mine, you just chose to decorate it in rainbow colors.

And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and of the king's seed, and of the princes; Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans. And the king appointed them a daily provision of the king's meat, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king. Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abednego. But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs. And the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your meat and your drink: for why should he see your faces worse liking than the children which are of your sort? then shall ye make me endanger my head to the king. Then said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink. Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king's meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants. So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days. And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat. Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse. As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams. And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king. And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.]
