They just started this month. Friday nights, 7 to 10, outside on the patio.

I think it will vary, but last Friday, they had a keyboard and sax man. The keyboard was set up so that a synthesized bass came from the left end, while the rest of the keyboard had piano sound. The guy was really talented, able to keep time with the bass notes while playinng chords and melodies with his right. No need for drums or drum machine.
The sax guy switched between alto, tenor and clarinet.
They played a bunch of standards; All Blues, Meditation, Take 5, Girl from Ipanema, etc.

There's one born every minute. The burgers are the only safe thing there, they can't hardly wreck that. But then again they can't even keep their beer going so who knows. Try it again, you'll be disappointed.

I am, however, disappointed that this Sudwerk has no German food whatsoever.

What that means is that many businesses go through a "warm up" period before they put out a big sign that says "grand opening" and throw parties and promotions to draw in customers. Sure they are officially open now, or else they wouldn't be serving the public yet. But they will undoubtedly have some hiccups before things are running smoothly. That's just how it goes in the restaurant business. When they put up the "grand opening" sign (assuming they do it that way), you'll know that they consider themselves fully up to speed.
I know many of you feel like one disappointment should be all it takes to walk from a place for good. It's your money so that's your prerogative, of course. But if Sudwerk ends up being a very good place to eat and drink, it will also be your loss.

I'll have to look into this "Grand Opening" deal a little bit more. I have noticed the "Grand Opening" sign on China Buffet has been up since it opened back on March 20th. So I guess it's customary for a 2 month Grand Opening? I really hope the DUDWERKS Grand Opening doesn't last that long.

Because it's new and in a good location.
I'll wait for them to get the kinks out and start getting good reviews regularly before checking it out. If it never happens, I'll never go.
