if nothing else, at least an awareness has been raised among us adults and obviously some good conversations between parents and teens are taking place.
You may be convinced, but not everybody is. What's being discussed is not a matter of fact, but rather of hearsay. One girl saying that she overheard another girl saying that she had had sex 2 times already that night doesn't cut it. How does the girl who heard this know that the other girl hadn't had sex twice with her boyfriend before the dance? We don't. We still have not heard from anybody who actually saw it with their own two eyes. What we have heard on this forum from students who were at the dance is that it did not happen.
It seems to me that it has to be established with certainty that the dancefloor sex was actually something that happened before we even know that there is anything that "we, as a community, as parents" can do about it. If it didn't happen, then it's a diversion from things that we know are actually going on.
