Truxel Rd.!!!! Where in the heck is that???? unsure.gif

google map it, but for a ballpark idea, it's near Cal Expo, if memory serves me correctly?

Back to our In'n'Out, They started accepting applications last weekend, I think I heard rumors of it might open Jan 21 or 22, but I'm not sure.
I would rather be Backpacking

It's over off 80 near Arco Arena. That In N Out is in about the worlds' worst-ever planned intersection and parking lot.

If you ever have to complain about any intersections or parking lots in Folsom (not that, in a couple of cases, you aren't justified), try getting into the quasi-shopping center over off Truxel. It's a nightmare.

Uhhhhh, just wait until this in and out opens up. That inersection must have been designed by a 2 year old. Wait, no, no 2 year old would have thought that was a good idea. However, the intersections at the new bridge by the dam are really taking the dumb award.

I agree about the new In&Out intersection; it's going to be a nightmare. To make matters worse, they can't make a connector road south of 50 short of an act of Congress. It's all County land down there.

It's already a nightmare, with just the Chevron and Starbucks. I don't understand why they put a left hand light from E. Bidwell to enter, but no light to go back up left to the freeway. So drivers will take a right, go to Iron Point, and make a u-turn. That intersection is already congested.

Let's put it this way... I envision it's going to work something like this:

1) In-N-Out opens
2) Hellish traffic jams as people line up and create gridlock
3) City realizes it "has a problem" in that intersection
4) City requests Sacramento County to build a road south of 50 to alleviate some congestion and U-turns
5) County tells Folsom it will build a road "when they get to it"
6) Road is built in 2013

The city has done a traffic study and don't believe traffic will be a problem. I disagree. For one, it already is a problem, and the mall's not built yet. I think if you wll want to go to In-N-Out, get on the freeway and exit. Don't try it from Iron Point or East Bidwell, it will be an exercise in futility.

Hopefully, the city planners will be the ones to get fired for not doing their job properly...The ole mighty dollar wins again.....
Any non-engineer could have told u what would happen...THE Starbucks drive-thru alone is a nightmare to navigate in and out....Where did these fools get their planning degree from Phoenix or National U?

I still recommend the 5 mile detour.
Instead of fuming over traffic, you can cool your jets while watching the mellow cows as you drive in a big triangle to get back to Folsom, but it would be shorter if a road connected my two white dots directly.

Blasphemy!
For proof, go have a big mac, then gig to in-n-out and have a double w/cheese. Nuff said

What, one right after the other? That hardly seems like a good idea...

Doesn't that just get you right back to where you started?
