I am for one in serious doubts about Leenda seeking any attention at all. And judging this to be one of your first posts on this forum will have to, in all respect (If I Have Any) take in serious consternation as to why or how you can base your obviously biased opinion in reference to this persons opinion...

Does this person NOT have the right to make a statement? obviously much more intellegent than anything that might have been suggested by yourself?

Bunny, I am for one very serious about a true New England Or Boston clam chowder myself ! That being said, will have to explain the nuances of Old Europes (French Clam Soup) It starts off with a huge mass of sliced onions being sauted in oil and butter for quite awhile then copious amounts of clam broth added as well as tomato paste and a variety of spices etc: this is allowed to simmer for some time and then from my observations about 15LBS. thats right... of whole and minced clams are added to the soup mixture... the end result. pure heaven in a bowl served with housemade rye bread... dang now I'm hungry again !!! try it out...

Sounds like a delicious onion, tomato and clam soup. Since they're calling it french clam soup and not a chowder, we're all good. smile.gif

You bet, I am going there today and have some. We have a group of folks that meet here every Sunday around or or so. Just a tradition I guess.

So, you've been a "member" since December of '08 and this is your first post. And you decide to target me. My post was just in jest. My hubby and I always know where we are. So, the next time you decide to post, target someone else. Thank you!!!!!

olym = Dave Rosen. Don't look at me.

Back on topic, I swung by with some friends for lunch yesterday. Sadly, after 2 days of burgers, I decided to go for a meatball lunch special. Had a hard choice, but settled on the Salisbury which were delicious! My friends both had burgers, but sissied out on the cheese, and put the sauerkraut on the side. They thoroughly enjoyed their meals, too.

Definitely will be back!

Bummer it's too far from your job to have joined us but good you made it there yesterday.

MSgt and I were talking about this exact phrase and agreed not only is it a great compliment to a business but very fitting for Old Europe. Wife and I plan to go back this week to try the other specialties.

To Lornaknits, I am the (gentleman) that bought you a glass of wine for your special day, but that not withstanding was after you bought the bar a round of drinks ! I again thank you. And now that we have had the pleasure of meeting, would like the suspension of the term (gentleman) in reference to myself as it could be detrimental to my desires to advance in a political party !! HEHE

Furthermore, I might add that perhaps Olym, stick with Craigs list on the Rant and Rave forum. Much better suited for that type of thought...
