however, I trust FPD. Even though the outcome sucks, even though I was not there to see what went down, I believe they did their best, and did not WANT to kill anyone.
if you dont want to kill anyone, then you dont have to kill anyone.

No, I am not a cop.
Are you a criminal?

yep.
So move very slowly and keep your hands on your head.
No issue.

You were there right? So you know that they walked in the house and started shooting. You will talk $hit about cops all day but I bet you would also be the first to call them if you needed help. It's such a $hitty double standard.

A person who is delusional, deranged, sleep deprived, drunk, on drugs, basically an altered mental state can be very dangerous and can sometimes be impervious to pain and very difficult to control.
We weren't there, so we don't know how it all went down, but I can't believe that the cops just arbitrarily decided to take this kid out.
I think they reacted to a serious threat in the way they were trained to, and that they are filled with regret for having to do it. I am sure they did not want to take that young man's life.
I've known lots of cops here in Folsom, and all of them have been great to me, but then again, I've never come at them with a knife.

LOL...that's right..it's true, and I am serious. A gun was not necessary in this situation.

Well, not that a Karate instructor should go on a police call, but martial arts training would be very beneficial to law enforcement. If I was a cop, I would want to be proficient in Martial arts, it's good to have multiple tools available in your arsenal of weapons.

build it up as big as you want...reality is, the young man weighed 120 lbs. His family called the PD to get him help. If the officers that arrived on the scene could not handle the situation, they should have called in someone that could.

I would agree if the officer somehow ended up disarmed, but I think when they are in uniform they are obligated to follow whatever protocols they are taught in the academy. Having one officer go all Jackie Chan when the others aren't expecting it could end up in a dangerous situation, too. Then you'd have people complaining that the officer didn't need to break an arm to diffuse the situation.
