I finally tried them the other day, I didn't realize it was the same chain as the restaurant I go to in Placerville. My co-workers and I refer to the one in Placerville as Casa de Eppies (I presume because it used to be an Eppies). Anyway, the food was good, service was good. I had the Tacos al Pastor, muy bueno. In fact, I'm eating the leftovers for lunch right now.
I would rather be Backpacking

We ate there last night. The worst Mexican food that I've ever had. The Tacos look like they came from a box...they probably did along with the nachos. My seafood burrito had what appeared to be imitation crab and did nothing for the senses. I will eat at Taco Bell before I go back to Casa Ramos.

Food bAADD service was good though. So if you like to bs with the servers and love the texture of cardboard, this is the place to go!

We ate here & used a gift certificate. We thought our meals were just "ok"....There are much better restaurants in Folsom. It was highly overpriced for the quality of the food. I would not eat there again especially if I had to pay full price for the meal. The service was good. But the food was not to our taste expectations.

+1 for most reviews here. I went in there and the service was good, the food ok but not in my price range for THAT type of place.

I miss Alejandros. He closed down 2 months ago and actually just today I noticed a new owner in there and a new name-El Sombrero. I had lunch and it appears I'm sticking with Adanberto's until something else comes along.

El Rincon is good too.

I totally agree with your views on this restaurant.

I LOVE the salsa at Felipe's! And I think they have the best Mexican food here for the price!

My husband and I are VERY PICKY about our Mexican food and tried Casa Ramos, but were disappointed with the salsa and the chicken enchilada verde. Their beans were very good, but the prices did not reflect the quality of food we desired.

Service was very good and decor was pleasant, but the food does not beat Felipe's.....and no, I don't own or work at Felipe's.

We don't plan to go back to Casa Ramos. Felipe's is our favorite Mexican restaurant.

Thanks for the recommendation on Felipe's! I have never been there before. Took the kids and spent about $20 less and had FAR SUPERIOR food (the salsa is EXCELLENT). I think that I could go there (Felipe's) pretty regularly!

We had lunch there today. The only negative would be the price. ( but you do get a lot for your money) We are used to La Fiesta and paying only a portion, but we usually don't order full plates there. But we all loved our meals. The portions were very generous and the chips were served hot. We loved the rice and beans. I wish the salsa had a bit more of a kick to it but I did like it. But if we were to go out for a full course mexican meal we would go here again. Service was very attentive.

I just wanted to give a quick thumbs up to Casa Ramos. They sponsored my son's Little League team and we decided to have our team party there last week. They reserved the outdoor patio for us, and they were all set up and ready for us. We had three servers always making sure our chips were filled, our drinks filled, and they took care of the 12 seperate family checks with no problem. They even patiently put up with 12 energetic 10-year-olds who like to run around. We thought the food was very good, and big (almost too big) porportions.

I hadn't read this thread before -- I eat Mexican food but it's not high on my preference list.

I'm in no way trying to disparage the integrity of fine folks on this forum, but it occurred to me that, if I were new to this site, this would be an opinion I could trust. One good restaurant giving favorable comments on another. Is this a great community or what?
