I had the mashed potatoes w/ lunch today. Potatoes were okay, but the gravy was awesome!

The smoked meats are to die for but agree the sides need to be improved with baked potatoes, sweet potatoe fries, homemade coleslaw, local corn on the cob (and preferably cooked on the grill), fresh mixed veggie, homemade baked mac n'cheese to name a few.

A few weeks ago we picked up 2 racks of ribs (Mmmmmm) and beans then added my own mashed potatoes, fresh green beans to the mix for an awesome outdoor patio dinner at home.

Hopefully with the increase in business, Ed will revamp the sides soon. Love that BBQ.

Do you put gravy on your turkey?

Owww, wonder if SSH BBQ has prepared a smoked turkey?

Agreed.

Need SSH Brisket and Coffee Republic potato salad on the same plate.

That would be awesome.

Naw, I think they use HP sauce for their french fries, and everytime I've ordered bangers and mash, there's no gravy on the bangers.

If it's dry breast meat on a hot turkey sandwich, you bet i do, but I'll eat the wings, drumsticks, and thighs without gravy.
I would rather be Backpacking

Never... I despise the stuff. Things like gravy and bbq sauce are for people who don't know how to cook and can't bring out the flavor in meats... tongue.gif

People don't go to BBQ for the sides.

Beef , Pork, or Chicken -- that's what it's all about.

You're right. But those of us that get dragged to BBQ places appreciate the sides more than the main course.

You haven't had mine.

Substitute good ground sausage for the hamburger, and plenty of pepper in the white gravy, and it can be quite tasty.

I take it you went alone on Tuesday.

Are we up for a group attendance this Friday?
I'm game if others are.

Friday, 11:30 AM work for anyone?

I'm in. Missed mylo's trip earlier due to appts and need some ribs or brisket!

On a side note, friends at work wanted to get together as a team. It was my pick and they wanted to go to one of those cool secret finds of mine (I tell them I get most of my suggestions and reviews from HERE) and they said lets go to that place you rave about up the hill - SSH BBQ. But with many being vegetarian, it would be like me going to a tofu festival lmaosmiley.gif

Time for some BBQ!
